Cao Cao rose to prominence during the Three Kingdoms era of ancient China, a period which ran from 220 to 280 AD. He was one of the era’s central figures.
Tales of his exploits are romanticized in the novel, ‘The Romance of the Three Kingdoms’ by 14th century Chinese author Luo Guan Zhong (羅貫中).

This channels very underrated. I love Mythology a lot and this channel shows it, you guys even made a Darth Sidious Mythology! My favorite video cause I love Star Wars very much! It isn't just Sci-Fi, if it was pure Sci-Fi, then it'll be nothing relatable nor realistic. That's why I see Star Wars as more than just Sci-Fi as many people say, I see it as a Space Opera, Mythological and Fantasy universe that I can explore and relate (Ex. Anakin Skywalker). Sorry for the long typing. You should make a video about Star Wars a bit and about Anakin Skywalker? Maybe Bounty Hunter Mythology? The Mandalorian T.V show's coming up anyway.

I love the Dynasty Warriors games. Wei is my favorite faction and Xiahou Dun is my favorite character/ historical person. Not only was he exemplary in loyalty he was the best of any faction in governing and i proving the lives of the people on his lands. Cao Cao is the leader and legendary figure for a reason worthy of Xiahou Dun's loyalty and fealty

It was my understanding that Cao Cao was a nickname, his real name was Meng De

the first cao is his family name , the second cao is his given name. the same pronounciation ,different spelling an meanings. Mengde is his styled name. In ancient China, when a man is 18 years old, he will get a styled name for official use. People call other by calling their styled names, call themselvess by calling given names. In today's China , people have long abandonned styled name. But I hope we use styled name again.

Cao Cao’s original first name was Xia Hou, not Cao.

his family’s original surname was xiahou 夏侯, but his father changed their surname to cao 曹 so he had been called cao cao 曹操 since birth :)
