​@@cookingwithjackshow Your rapid short term weight loss is almost entirely water weight since you've cut out carbs. I don't know how much of this pizza you ate on your own in one sitting, but this is a high calories dish you've made. You should post your daily caloric intake too in your updates!

@@alecstrickland7182it’s not water weight. If anything, all that sodium would cause him to retain water. I have tried a similar diet some years ago and it does work. But I wasn’t in failing health. In which case, my concern would be all the sodium intake. Something older people need to watch. That said even though it works. As someone who tried it, I can affirm that it’s not a long term solution. IMO, dietary changes need to be looked at in the long term. Whatever you’re doing needs to be something you can do for the rest of your life. And that’s where these all meat diets ultimately fail. They’re very hard to stick to in the long term not to mention the nutritional deficiencies. If Jack uses this a stepping stone to get his weight down in the short term. He can succeed. But he will eventually need to make more adjustments to his lifestyle if he’s to improve his condition beyond those short term benefits. The thing is whether he’ll make those changes.
