Carrie Underwood, Kristin Chenoweth, and Christina Applegate's medley of "Be My Baby", "Leader of the Pack", and "Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow" from the Carrie Underwood: All Star Special
I'm replying to this fun collaboration 12yrs after the video was posted bc very recently Christina Applegate publicly announced her retirement from acting due to an advanced MS diagnosis that's left her barely able to walk. I need her to know how much she influenced me (&every other teenage girl) in the 80s. Sending her healing prayers during this difficult time & wishing her all the best!
Christina may not have as strong a voice as the other two, but she still sounded pretty darn good, and she blew them out of the water with her body movements and facial expressions. She's the one my eyes were drawn to the most.
All aspiring singers should watch Kristin sing. One note and she has already connected with her audience. Very often that is what carries contestants on American Idol or what sinks them (Pia, for example). Kristin radiates warmth and makes you feel like you're her best buddy when she performs.
I'm very impressed with Christina Applegate. That takes guts to sing with such powerful singers . Carri Underwood was amazing. But Kristin Chenoweth..let's just say, it was a good thing she was holding back! Clearly! Overall a truly great performance!
Kristin looked to be having fun the most Christina had the most poise and filled the role of a 60's girl group singer perfectly with her moves. And of course Carrie brought her amazing voice.
It’s so sad to see Christina Applegate now. She’s so beautiful, talented, & has great comedic timing. She’s been through so much.😢 She’s one of my favorites! I saw her get her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame recently & you can tell how much her health has gone downhill. So sad.
Yes I saw her get her star, I cried when I saw how she was couldn't believe it. Saw all episodes of Married with Children sending my prayers to her. 🙏🙏🙏
A lot of vocal talent on that stage, but I must say, my eyes are immediately drawn to Christina. She pulls focus completely away from the others with the way she moves across the floor. Lovely to watch.
All of these young women country singers are beautiful, kind hearted, sweet woman! I wish I could go see at least one of them perform but, I do not see that happening. I know a lot of you are like me, you live on a fixed income. There is no way I could even afford to travel to see either one of these women are performing. I couldn’t even afford to pay for the ticket to see the performance. Also I have what they call crippling arthritis. And I do not know if any of you have it especially in your later years. But I live in pain 24 seven. It has attacked and is attacking all of my joints. So that keeps me from traveling too far at one time, or sitting too long, or standing too long. Other than that I feel great, I feel wonderful. Oh I love this video clip!! I have clicked on it to play over and over, as I am writing all of this. It’s so doggone cute!! I hope all of you have a great day! God bless all of you and keep everyone safe. 🥰
Hey ladies. Motorcycle throttles are always on the right side. For a guy who was born in 1951 those songs and those costumes remind me of my teen years.
That was just fun and fabulous! Just a reminder of how great not only all 3 of these ladies are in their own right but also a testament to the greatness of the music from the 50's and 60's.
I love this. These 3 very Talented Ladies, doing songs from the 1960s. Wow Fantastic. Id love to see and hear more. I want hear them sing "My Boyfriends Back". Originally sung by the Angels in 1962, or1963. The song has been on UTUBE recently. 👏👏🥰🤗💕❤❤🌺🌸 And all 3 of these very, very Talented Women are all from Oklahoma, Really great!! 😅😊❤
Linda Clark When it was announced that Ms. Applegate would star on Broadway in a revival of "Sweet Charity" as Charity Hope Valentine -- the complex role of a hooker with a heart of gold, written by legendary Neil Simon, that also requires its star to sing the Cy Coleman/Dorothy Fields score and perform the choreography by Bob Fosse -- expectations were low, and some poked fun at the TV actress who thought she could make it on Broadway. The out-of-town tryouts were problematic, and the whispers of impending disaster were all around NYC. When Ms. Applegate broke her foot during the tryout, producers threw in the towel and closed the musical. But, Ms. Applegate told them that she had seen her doctor and he could design a special corrective/protective shoe, which would allow her to perform the role. She also told them that she did not want to see what might be her only opportunity to do a Broadway musical evaporate, and that she did not want to see the other cast members thrown out of work (and the investors forfeit their money) because of her accident. In response to her determination, the producers reopened the show, and it opened on Broadway with very positive notices. Ms. Applegate's reviews were excellent, and she won a Theater World award and a Tony nomination for her performance. The combination of her TV stardom and the stories of her determination and pluck in performing hurt caused the show's box office to do well, and the show ran strongly until the end of her contract. At that time, negotiations with two other performers to replace her were unsuccessful -- she had established such a strong identification with the role that it may have intimidated potential successors -- and the revival closed just before celebrating a year on Broadway. But, the Broadway experience, along with her Emmy-winning role on Friends, changed the image of Ms. Applegate in entertainment circles from one of being able only to play bimbo roles like Kelly Bundy to the more positive one of a talented actress/dancer/singer/hard-worker/risk-taker. Subsequently, Ms. Applegate faced a devastating health crisis, when she was diagnosed with breast cancer and told that she carried the BRCA gene. She confronted that adversity with the same determination and courage she had shown when playing "Charity," and not only did she survive the crisis, she shared her experience with the public in an attempt to save the lives of others and to diminish the fear and stigma associated with the disease. Obviously, her talents have been underestimated in the past, not to mention her courage and strength. She has proven that she should never be underestimated or considered down for the count. In this appearance with Ms. Underwood and Ms. Chenowith, she provides additional convincing evidence of her versatility.
The has some some very funny roles. She was in Anchorman with that madman Will Farrell. Very funny. She started out on TV as the teenage daughter in Married with Kids, then I saw her in Samantha Who? A short lived but very funny and well written TV series where she is the main character who loses her memory and is finding out what an awful and shallow person she was and is trying to become a better person - there are no laugh tracks to tell you when to laugh so I guess the network was afraid we wouldn't get the jokes. So short sighted. My very favorite movies I saw her in was "The Sweetest Thing" she plays Cameron Diaz's sidekick. Very funny, very cute.
Beautiful performance of songs by The Ronettes, The Shirelles, The Crystals and The Shangri-las. Anticipated though that One Fine Day of The Chiffons will be included but it wasn't. Enjoyed this immensely.
Am I the only one that sees these three as "The Debbies" from the Oblongs? LOL! I love all three of these girls, I will never understand why people feel it necessary to write negative comments about them? They are all wonderful in their own right.
Oh my god Christina Applegate has an amazing voice 😊 I first fell in love with her when she played Kelly Bundy on married with children almost anything that she is done I watched and seen I think you have an amazing voice Mustafa gate and you really need to try to make a record maybe much love love love love to you a huge Christina Applegate❤❤❤❤❤
I'm in love X 3!! Carrie's voice: Amazing! Christina's expressions: Priceless! And Kristin?! That woman probably never had to take any entertainment lessons - She is just SO naturally adorable!!

Love all three of them!!!! Lost count of how many times I have watched this through the years because this whole routine, by these three very talented women, “ just never gets old for me!” Love everything about this! Love their bubble gum pink outfits with their platinum wigs & the crinolines peeking out at the bottom! Most of all I love watching these three talented women interact in such a fun way with one another, as they sing these great songs from the past! Love to see them put this act on again with new songs from this era! Love! “Love! L-O-V-E THIS!”♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
Carrie has an amazing chest voice that just never ends and her vocal style is more popular but in difficulty of training and vocal ability Kristin is sooo far above. She can do runs and trills with a range over 3 octaves... opera is not very popular but it is a more (probably most) difficult style to study and master. In case you couldnt tell Im an avid opera listener... but I do ADORE and respect Carrie.
Just think 🤔 Kristin & Carrie grew up just down the hwy/road from each other😍Have LOVED this song for 40yrs! I am a 60’s baby & I first heard these from 💝Shawn Cassidy💗Dadoorunrun Dadoorunrun
Those are just fun songs. Great to see titans of the industry willing and wanting to go on stage just for the sheer pleasure of it. I am a karake legend and I can see myself singing Sugar Shack with them. I would be more than content to have Christina hang around my swimming pool (if I had one).
Best variety show in many, many years on all levels. Kudos Carrie; your versatility is the best in the last 20 years. This never gets old; great cast. How about another one!!!
I love all three of these women. Carrie is an amazing singer, Kristen is my perfect woman, and, well, Kelly Bundy :) Three extremely beautiful and talented women...
