Let's start with the stewed carrots, a pan or saucepan also suitable for the oven, therefore without plastic or wooden parts, a little butter, an almost minced onion and half a kilo of cleaned and sliced carrots, cooking for 20 minutes over medium heat with the lid, if that is not enough, cook for 5 minutes longer, the carrots will have to cook with their humidity, the use of the lid is essential, at the end of cooking, salt and parsley, if instead of bringing the stewed carrots to the table you want to make them more refined, you can add half a liter of milk with 45 grams of flour or cornstarch dissolved in it, bring to the boil, stirring constantly, a tasty cream will form, at the end a little more salt.
You can eat the creamed carrots or go ahead, prepare a gratin with 3 tablespoons of bread, a little oil, a little optional minced garlic and a spoonful of cheese, mix and sprinkle the carrots, bake at 200°C for about 15 minutes.
