Many cars were apprehended inside the exclusive EDSA bus lane. Since SAICT enforcers are deputized by LTO, they were able to confiscate the license of each driver apprehended inside the busway.
It really depends where they operate. When they operate in Ortigas, they tend to catch more luxury vehicles. And it's true that some of them really have positions, or are well connected. Most drivers are scared to pass through that part of the bus lane. The ones that still try to pass, even though they’re not allowed, are usually confident in being able to get through. Whereas if they operate somewhere like Pasay Tramo or Santolan flyover, they'll encounter a more balanced mix of violators.

IMHO, the reason for the hesitancy of most car owners to switch to riding the bus is the lack/ease of connectivity from the bus stops to their final destinations. I hope LGUs take notice of this and offer up solutions to address this.
They are not chasing the vehicles so more and more drivers are running away from apprehension. What action has been done for the plates 7 & 8 that sped away the other day? That black SUV 0:55 obviously was being escorted by those two "PNP" vehicles. Possibly inside is a high ranking official which is why they took off.

Hi I'm struggling with my 12v power supply 10A..you made a video about it a long time ago. I'm using it for a car radio that I hooked up in my workshop and the radio turns on and works like normal but it doesn't pick up any radio stations. But if I put my car battery charger( 12v 4A) on the radio it pick up stations. I tested it with another radio and it does the same thing..so not sure what's going on
Hmm I'm not sure on that. Did you check the voltage of the 12v 10A PSU? Usually there's a little POT that can adjust the exact voltage. Maybe it's too high or too low? Did you connect an earth cable to the PSU? I guess it's possible that the 12v 10A is introducing some kind of electrical noise that is preventing it from picking up radio stations. But i'd check the first two things first.
GA I was going home last night at 11:30 pm from the NAIAA 2. There was no traffic. I was surprised though that there are still some SUV's passing thru the Bus Lane (Edsa/Ortigas)..Is this attitude? knowing no MMDA during those hours? There is a need to re-implement the NCAP now!!

Driving without a license usually results in impounding. If you can show a valid license, but can't show the OR/CR, it doesn't always result in impounding. Although potentially it might result in additional violations being added to the ticket. Even today there was an MC apprehended in the bus lane. He wasn't able to show the OR/CR but he did show a license. His bike wasn't impounded.
Should be an automatic impound of vehicle and fine plus confiscation of license. Ewan ko lang kung meron pa nyan susuway sa buslane regulation.. kung 5k ang penalty easy yan sa mapepera, pero kung extreme inconvinience ewan ko lang kung kakayanin nila
There are government vehicles with black & white plates?? This may induce people assigned to it to abuse its use. (Maybe use this for a summer family outing?) If black & white plates were issued, then at least have the agency’s name printed on the vehicle’s side with the label, ‘For official use only’ and maybe even the number where to report it’s suspected inappropriate use, like what they do with PUVs.

Gawan nyo ng paraan, mabigat na parusa upang madala sila kapag lumalabag sa ordinasya nyo halimbawa community service, palinisin nyo ng kalsada, ilog Pasig, street sweeper o pasamahin nyo sa mga clearing operations nyo bago nila matubos yong ticket nila, yong pera ay hindi mabigat na penalty sa mga maykaya. Kung sino nahuli siya rin ang sasabak sa community service hindi pweding Kapatid, katulong o mga kakilala.

Dpat kpag government officials x2 or x3 ang penalty + suspension without pay for 1 week. Kung sino pa unh dapat ay role model ng society,cla pa ang law breakers.

That is the punishment for repeat offenders In fact a third offence and above could lead to LTO basically black listing you from getting a drivers license.
Philippines needs stricter implementation of its laws and stiffer penalties to people from the government that violates them as they should be a good example!
Wala na pag asa ang batas trapiko sa pilipinas. Mas matapang na mga driver, di pa nauubusan na dahilan kahit alam nila mali ginagawa nila. Dapat mas mahigpit pang batas. Una, warning, pangalawa tanggalan na agad ng lisensya. Para di na maka ulit. Pag multa lang, paulit-ulit lang yan. Kahit.milyon pa multa, uulit-ulitin lang yan.
I think 5 k pesos for the first offense is not that high yet 😸 , they should adjust the fines/ penalties and make it even higher. That's cash for the national treasury anyway. 😸👍
Dapat mas taasan pa ung multa para may pambayad na rin kayo sa mga bagong recruits nyo :) Win win kung tutuusin masmalaki ung multa na makukuha at sigurado mas magtatanda ung mga tao :) tapos if ever na matuto na ung mga motorista na wag ng dumaan sa bus lane pde nyo na i spread out ung deployment ng mga tao nyo sa ibang lugar.
Repeat violators can face suspension or revocation of license. Although for those who are very wealthy, I guess it's possible that they could just hire a different driver.
@GadgetAddict Maybe it's best to equate the penalty to the driver's income. Say 10% of annual salary + 3% the vehicle's market value. So the more expensive vehicle they have the higher the penalty would be.
