You should of got a butter nife from the kitchen to dig up the aluminum plate! or even take a warm rag, not wet, let it sit and it might of made it easier to pull off ! i wait to see your next! 👍🏻 👍🏻 by Siskal and Ebert!

You might find removing the glued aluminium easier with hot air on it! (I now realise you said that at the end)

You should try the baking soda and super glue trick to fix that broken corner piece.. you apply the baking soda and super glue and build up layer by layer kinda like a human 3D printer then file everything down smooth... Iv seen other RU-vidrs use this method with good results... 73's DE KK4MMM...

Excellent video as always, you're extremely thorough in detail on servicing these cameras which people with such cameras will learn everything! One thing I do have to point out though and I'm sure you're well aware of it, whilst the vertical width is perfect, I notice the horizontal linearity is a bit squashed on the left side opposed to the right side (which looks good) looking at the left circles, I was wondering are there horizontal linearity adjustments in the camera to get the left side looking as good as the right? Apart from that, very nice picture!!! Incidentally I am having a similar issue with my 50s B&W HMV TV I am restoring (which I now have a picture) which the bottom quarter of the picture is squashed. Just looked at your previous video on camera 7, I noticed it has the exact same issue the left circles in the test pattern look a bit squashed the same way, is there a horizontal linearity design flaw with these Cartrivision cameras?

Vertically stretched, or unintentional anamorphic widescreen camera. 🙂
