In this video I used a cast net to catch crabs and bait for crawfish. The crawfish were caught using nets and traps. I cooked a surf and turf burger with everything.
Man Brother, I miss Louisiana so much. Last I was there I was working the BP cleanup and I would hit a crab shack in Larose and it was all you could eat crab, crawfish, smoked sausage, and shrimp for $16 dollars than get an iced tea and I would eat till my arms were burning up from all the crab boil running down my arms. God bless you Brother
My family ran a Mississippi River boat tour from Vicksburg. I used to drive all the way to Violet to get Honda outboard parts. It was funner to drive through Louisiana and spend a night in New Orleans than waiting for the mail. You need do a show about fishing out of Delacroix and the Chandeliers. People have no idea how pretty that is. Great channel. You represent St.Bernard Parish well.👍
I wish I could talk my wife into moving down there it's like redneck heaven lol loving the videos and I appreciate all the hard work that goes into making them
@@riverfiendfishing4953hog head cheese shouldn’t have any blood or blood taste at all. If it does then something is wrong with it or the person making it. It’s called hog head cheese !! Not blood pudding or blood sausage. I am a full blooded coonass in south Louisiana and been eating it for over 45 years and raised up making it 4 to 10 times a year with my dad and uncles from all natural the old way to Boston butts the new way people are making a and never have had any blood or iron taste to it at all
HEY👋🏻JARED!!! Sorry im a little late to the party brother 😅 I Hain't NEVER seen a perfectly uniformed burger nested on a perfectly uniformed bun😁How Awesome is that!! AND the rest of that plate WOW!!!😋 I may just hafta take a roadtrip to St. Bernard Parish👍🤠👍 Great video my friend, God Bless you Jared 🙏 Jay.
Love you man. You bring that 504 real that we all need. How about sharing some of those bank fishing spots. I’m a retired chef and would love to do a catch and cook with you. Help
I've literally just finished eating my tea 😂 Nevertheless - if there was a teleport from the UK to the time and space of this burger, I would be there with my napkin tucked in and a plate in my hands 😁 It looks delicious, thanks for the super video ❤
Jared that is definitely worth an amen. My grandma used to eat the hogs head cheese. I ate some and it wasn’t bad but I can’t look at it before eating it. The rest of it was delicious
@Outside the Levees oh well. I just had some craklins and some boudin shipped to me in Ohio. And my father and son just flew back from Lafayette and while down there had a hell of a crawfish boil. I so miss the food.
AMEN. AMEN. That really looks good. love hog head cheese, never got it hot an put it on fry going to try that. keep it up we love. your videos and showing the future of your parish
Amen!! That might be the first time I've seen a baby gator caught in a crawfish trap. Makes you really start to pay attention because you know momma is around there somewhere and by the time you see her in there its usually not fun.
Hogshead cheese, haven't seen that in Ohio, but would try it most likely. Burger/crawfish, cheese/spread on toasted Brioche looked amazing! Thx for sharing!
I am in England watching you make a burger, looks really good. However I would put some Stilton blue cheese on the burger, might balance out the richness of your spices. keep up the good work, great videos, its not just America thats watching.
Golly that dinner looked great. Never thought of putting bugs on my burger. I’m sure the remoulade matched perfectly. I’m gonna have to try that hog head cheese next time I’m in Chalmette. It looks delicious
Amen Jarad, and I thought you were gonna fix a crawfish only burger. But you did leave off a couple key ingredients. BIG slice of fresh heirloom tomato and some chilled lettuce! (and, personally I would replace the remoulade with some Blue Plate mayonnaise)😊 Enjoyed the video keep ‘em coming!😊
I love Hogshead cheese!! But I would have made the burger with crawfish only. I can have a meat burger every day but would love a burger made with crawfish & crabmeat only. How about more crawfishing videos???
Where can I get a Mossy Oak cap like that? Good video buddy, This is what I’d be doing’ if I was in LA. Still coming to St. Bernard one day, sooner than later.
Wish I knew where I could find me some hog head cheese . I haven't had any since my grandma passed she use to make hers all the time . Should have put some on the sandwich too
One of those crawfish was almost a legal lobster. If you want Maine lobster, just boil the crawfish with no spice, peel and dip in butter. Same flavor. I tried doing lobster in Zatarain's. The shells are so air tight, no flavor got in. You would have to punch a few holes in em.
