Yes it's true. I own CBR and everyday I desperately search on Google "2017 CBR launching date in India". What you said in the entire is completely true. Hope this video reach to HMSI guys. #respect #love #CBR
even I have the same opinion about Honda... ever other brand is getting new bikes... and these ppl are simply changing the color n trying to sell them... hey strell lets catchup sometime...
well in Indonesia, Honda launched the CBR 250 RR twin cylinder, and my CBR 250 R from 2011 is now in difficult position for maintenance, even if i still find it's a great machine, the new CBR 250 RR is way more better, and can easily compete with other bikes on the 250-300 cc segment. the CBR 250 RR is produced in Indonesia, i hope Honda will bring it in your country. cheers from Bali.
i'm ok with sarcasms i love dark humour lol, well in consolation maybe, in Indonesia we will never see the Dominar Bajaj :-( as even the 200ns was shortly distributed by Kawasaki and now Bajaj has disappeared from our market, KTM is doing great in India apparently, keep doing great video, i'm a fan !
Actually a lot of what you said applies to Yamaha too. They got R15 and simply didnt want to do anything else. With some great difficulty they got R3 to India and now the FZ25. Otherwise it was paint scheme after paint scheme :D Back in early 2014, I had finalized on CBR500R but seeing how they said its not for India I went with the Duke 390 instead! And as you know, a sub 800cc bike either has to be assembled in India or manufactured, both of which adds a lot of expense to the company which also makes that product more expensive than their international price. If they dont see a big profit in the long run they wont go down that road. No company wants to make a loss just to keep the 0.01% of motorcycle enthusiasts happy :) If India didnt have these regulations and duty for imported motorcycles, you would see the entire line up of all manufacturers, just like how it is here in Europe. But then those regulations were added to protect Indian companies so the topic is always debatable :) While I completely agree with all that you said, Honda simply wont do it if there is no profit.
Agree with you buddy. But performance motorcycle enthusiast is not 0.01% anymore here in India. And if they are comparing it with the sales of scooter, then also its not going to be a negligible figure. Because Honda doesnt have the monopoly in scooters now. It was 5-10 years back :) . They have heavy competition from other manufactures. And at this point, they need to decide to venture a new segment or to still struggle for the crown they had. If an new manufacturer like KTM can come to India and make good motorcycles (Made in India), with in a span of 4 years, why not a company like Honda cant do the same, when they have plants across India. The regulations and import duties never gonna change. We always end up in paying double the actual price of the motorcycle, moving up in the CC ladder.
I actually dont have any stats to back up the 0.01% :) but these enthusiasts you see are only in big cities. Majority of rural and semi urban India which makes up the market runs almost entirely on scooters and 100/125/150cc commuters. But yes, motorcycling as a hobby has increased a lot in recent years though I dont think it's enough to fully wake these manufacturers up! Its also easy for them because they can launch a new bike in that segment with almost zero R&D and with only some design changes to stand out. And in spite of heavy competition and not being at the top with sales figures, as long as they are well in profit, companies can sometimes get lazy to innovate or bring any change that can potentially reduce the profit margin. KTM/Bajaj is actually a good example of how not to become lazy :) And like you said, Honda can just as easily do that, if they choose to do so but they would need some real convincing for it to happen, maybe your video will do that :D
Agreed with you about the Import duty of India but I disagree with the R15 fact. They at least made the v2 and then the R15S and I heard there were some tweaks in engine too. What did Honda do? LETS CHANGE THE COLORS. (FOR 6 YEARS)
True that bro! Honda's reputation is in Honda India's hand now. Our Indian tendency "Give respect and take respect" applies to Honda too. They have to respect our Indian motorcyclist generations to survive enough in currently growing market. Kudos to you for bringing this topic up. We'll expect for some good news. Ride safe, Take care!
EXACTLY how every motorcycle enthusiast feels in India who wouldn't mind paying a premium for a quality Japanese product! But Honda has ignored India for too long and honestly lost its loyal customer base! As sad as it may be, the Nokia analogy is on point!
Not just voice of Honda CBR owners but also the voice of every bike enthusiast... I mean look at the launches in the countries like Indonesia.. they get well updated with the launch of bikes of every brands like Honda and yamaha.... but it still doesn't reaches in India.. I wish this message should be strongly recommended to be watched as a petition to bring updated models of motorcycle brands in India as well.
I was die hard Honda fan. Was willing to buy the ugly dazzler over Fz16. This year when I planned to upgrade I purchased a RC390 just because I did not want to give my money to a brand that treats India as a third world county.
You are just telling my heart bro......Honda became a scooty company in India.......I dont know whether Honda is doning this......You r 100% right .....and the ***ing price.........
Bro i am also a proud CBR 250R owner and this is the same feeling i am having from past three years. I am really glad that you brought this thing up. Keep up the good work bro. #Respect
and even after launching the CBR 250r in the year 2011 one finds difficult to find a good mechanic to repair the bike .service centres r overcrowded and not all have the knowledge to repair the abs ones. also spare parts r still highly priced.
big companies are very reluctant to changes, they want current situation to go on infinitely. Nokia is the best example and I think Honda India will soon be they have lost their connection with youth of India and soon will start getting completely unnoticed when someone thinks about getting a new bike
Thanks a lot Strell. You spoke my heart...and on behalf of all the Honda fans as well. We all fans are really desperate to see the New Honda CBR 250R. Please Honda, launch it in India....if you have any love towards the motorcycle anthusiasists in India. 🙏🏼
You spoke the fact brother ! Now a shock, not sure if you have experienced their service attitude in quite recently. Very uncanny response and NO CUSTOMER CENTRIC Approach. Honda India's Customer Service seems to be a gamble; its highly inconsistent. They just want to have the target audience: "Some Uncles and Aunties" - Loved that line.
I am a KTM RC 390 owner. I have riden CBR 250R. I would say it is not entirely Honda's fault. We the bike enthusiasts are a mere 0.01% of the overall bike riders in India. There are lot of people (mainly students or new to 1st job) who gets forced to buy a Honda because they need permission from their parents to chose the bike. The past generation blindly believes in Honda. The typical Indian mentality is to buy a bike which will serve you 15 to 20 years without major issues. That is what they wanted but that is not the only thing we want. We don't bother much if the spark plug needs to be changed at every 10000 KMs. We are willing to sacrifice time and more money to get more performance and excitement. The service quality of KTMs in Bangalore is crap. But still most enthusiasts will buy a KTM. The fun you can get out of it in exchange for some service hassle is acceptable to us at this point because no other manufacturers are being able to provide what KTM is doing. If the Japanese bikes can bring same fun in the bikes with marginal price increase over the KTMs they will still get back all their loyal customer and new customers as well. Other problem is market research. There is still a number of customers who don't really care about reviews upgrades etc. All they care is the manufacturing year thinking it is a new bike. So they will sell an old activa or CBR and buy a new painted one. So Honda is making fool out of Indians because we are fools. Scooters are extremely popular in Thailand Malaysia or Indonesia too. But that is not restricting Honda to launch all bikes over there. Till the time the majority of India want a new bike Japanese bike makers won't bring anything here. Only difference is Kawasaki. They are still trying to bring at least 60% of their global launches to India. So my next bike would be a Kawasaki for sure. All Japanese bikes are reliable. So I don't care if I need to wait for 2 weeks before a simple spare parts arrive for my bike. I mean I literally had to wait for 3 weeks before I get stator assembly for my KTM which is manufactured in Pune. So if it can take 3 weeks for a locally manufactured bike, I can wait a month for a CKD/CBU bike. Last but not the least, you have spoken truth and I have passed on the message to my friend who works in Honda near Hoskote. Good going. Keep up the good job.
This is a well composed message. Truely enough I at one point of time I was a fan of Honda motorcycles. My first mototcycle was the Hero Honda CBZ Star and was considering CBR 250R as my upgrade but luckily enough KTM caught my eye and I moved to KTM. Considering value for money Honda being one of the best producers of two wheelers have already lost faith. Now I have upgraded to the new Duke 390 2017 still Honda hasn't made any changes to their lineup which is really heartbreaking. And spot on with the words that "Not available in India" which is true enough for I guess all two wheeler companies. No idea what impression of Indian market does these companies have in their mind. Marking the upward trend of motorcycle enthusiasts growing in India including not only boys but girls also atleast it is time for all companies to change their mindset and look to launch all products which in India.
Very well expressed thoughts. Being a owner of 250R/2011 i feel it is a silent kill for a beautiful ergonomic machine. Looks like Honda have taken its biking fans for a ride...!! It will take a lot of effort for Honda to wake up from the slumber and reach out to its loyal fan club. I shall enjoy the cbr 250R as long a i can and as long as genuine parts are available. Regards. Oh.btw my 2001 activa which has clocked 1.2L kms is still a charm..
well said brother... its true that honda india is turning their back on honda lovers all across india... its high time that they give us something to cling onto...
you know the worst part ... they will never report this ... if someone post like "10 thing I hate about my dominor " than bajaj listen their each point and ensure that they will be more careful in future .
man thats just true emotion.. i am a true honda fan, i ride a 2011 CBR250R.. very true the words you said.. i stand with him.. to honda: please dont dissapoint.!!
One more reason why choosing products from home grown companies like Bajaj, TVS, Mahindra makes a sense. And they have come long way to rival their international counterparts in terms of quality and refinement.
Forget about the main content of this video, what forced me to comment here is ur "Safe driving"👍👍. Everyone should drive like this, no hurry, no rash driving obeying traffic rules,,, ur driving is well appreciated bro.👍👍👍👍
I am waiting for Honda to launch cbr250rr in INDIA. it is awesome bike in his segment... HONDA INDIA we love you very much please do something for us or you gonna loose us... thanks brother for making such video... we support you... 🖒
you're right bro, I'm a big fan of honda as my father owns a shine and I started bike riding on it. That's why I have a special place for honda in my heart. Few months ago I was looking for a commuter which looks good, gives best mileage, torqy, powerful, and represent my personality. I decided to go for livo, that looks amazing undoubtedly, but my friends, neighbors, relatives told to not buy this as it gives upto 50 kmpl ! Then I decided to buy tvs as honda doesn't have any stylish bike, every bike is very expensive. Another thing is they don't update their products !
You are really great man...You have spoken the words of many bikers out there in India. Why..!! Honda why don't you launch new models of quater liter bikes in India...only some cosmetic changes and nothing else. Great job Honda...People are moving away from you.
So true bro,The competition is too much , and sad to say the CBR250r is loosing against the all the new bikes in the market, earlier we can atleast say the CBR is in the game, but as the new fz250 and duke250 are here now the CBR done.
The best ever put up talk for HONDA...It was never against Honda.. but a thought for Honda.. Though having the 2nd largest population in the world... how come Honda not launch the 250RR model out here, while in Indonesia, they are launching them all... Really appreciate ur thought... If Honda launches 250RR, it will be revolutionary, though the price expectations are high.. but lovers of performance bikes will love it!! Come on Honda!!!
You spoke correctly bro, even I think, the bikes which are launched in Indonesia are not even coming to India. Why? The Honda officials should take proper decisions ,otherwise the brand HONDA will be only heard for scooters
I just tweeted this to hmsi... i hope they wake up and take some necessary action.. they are really underestimating the indian market... and you rightly said.. they are going to lose fans in india... good work bro!
Very true. Honda used to be my aspiration. But I myself am amazed that how I feel disconnected with the brand now. Its just after catering to the needs of commuter segment. On the other hand Yamaha is working hard on connecting themselves with the younger generation
Well said it bro. I'm a die hard fan of Honda. It's very disappointing that Honda is still concentrating on scooters and 150cc segments.Hornet is the best motorcycle in its segment and one of my favourite. But we the INDIAN YOUTHS are not dealing with just 150-160cc bikes. We have so many other options like Dominar, KTM, Ninja etc.. But still we are waiting for the new versions of CBR and other big models from Honda.I hope HONDA will understand the feelings of its fans.
so true buddy.. these motorcycle manufacturers needs to update their attitude towards india.. while all other countries get new and improved motorcycles we are forced to get satisfied with the motorcycles presently available in the market.
you absolutely right bro..... i think Honda is still in stage to believe that with brand image it can survive in market without any efforts. someone commented that most of the rural and semi urban areas are only have market of 100/150/160 cc bike, yes... but Honda is not even looking into that segment also. apart from Hornet (with same engine of Unicorn) there is no other new bike from Honda in recent times in this rural and semiurban segment. hope your video will reach Honda India.
This not only applies to Honda , I feel that all the Japanese manufacturer are under estimating the India market. Due to this reason KMT has started capturing the market
Bro... U r absolutely right... Honda Should make some resolution in its motorcycle market... Nice video on the topic.. Got an epic feeling from this video...
100% true brother. I think u forget to mention about pathetic service of honda service centres & unavailabality of spare parts. I am a cbr150 guy from kerala. On my trip to goa, for changing chain sprocket, i had to visit a number of showrooms. One cannot enter their service centres because of flooded activas & scooters. The mysore service centre had me wait for 2 hrs for just tightening and lubing chain. At the same time, when we went yamaha service centre for my r15 friend, i felt respect for their service compared to honda india. I am planning to upgrade to 250 or 300cc segment. Even if honda introduce new cbr250 in india, i will not buy because of their activa specialised service. Like you said, i love and respect honda machines, but very very dissappointed with their indian market.
yes friend you says the truth about honda sports bike or as a super bike. you saying the reality." HONDA PLEASE CHANGE" .. and use to have less price tags on 250rr bikes.....
This is not just a voice from you. This is what the whole India feels. Everybody voiced out this many times in many ways. But Honda is playing dumb. Same scene with Honda cars as well. They are so bad these days. They are loosing market to the competitors
3 years later & still no response instead they stopped production of 250R to increase sale of CB300R which makes no sense & CBR300R coming to India still remains a dream
I also own a 2012 CBR 250R ABS which is still a tough competitor to the 250 segment ! According to Honda after a launch they won't update it for years ! The Honda International is launching up to date motorcycles but none of them is reaching Indian market they think that Indians are lullaby babies but the young generation is no more mileage hungry one they are replaced with power ! So we hope Honda might do favourable according to our wants !
Yes bro.. your are right I recently show this video to honda dealer in my hometown but they don't give the proper reply for this.. But the Manager inspired as well as feel guilty after watching this video.. I thik he will definitely forward this video to higher authority.. Wish for the best.. 👍
Im talking particularly about CBR The sales of CBR 150 or 250 have been very good as compared to other countries thats y they r not launching new versions.... until n unless there is a drop in sales they r gonna keep producing the same stuff
absolutely well said .. honda india is just not interested in doing the real business .. Activas of the world don't need much effort to be sold. For making a good quality bike like a Duke or Dominor it requires effort and determintion which I think HMSI simply lacks.
well said bro... totally agree with you....I thought of buying CBR 150 R but now I am getting fz25 for the same price. .Honda bikes are getting outdated..
Bro you have just stated my opinion on honda !!! Even i was also planning to buy the CBR 250r !!! Bt i got much better specs in the new pulsar RS 200 in much affordable price segment !!! Great video!! Very Calm and humble voice !!! Keep it up!! I'm gonna share this video with many people !!!
Bro......what you said has been in the minds of so many people for a really long time......glad that a personality like you bought this to light...now this should be noted by them. If they really want to strive on scooters in this market, i'd suggest them to change the name to Honda Scooters India and just stop disappointing the Honda enthusiasts in India and making a joke out of themselves.
ihave shown this video to my friend who is working in honda (sales Dept). He is saying that this is exactly what they are asking from honda for years. But they are not getting any response.Hope soon Honda will realize it and bring new 300cc cbr or equivalent bikes to india. Fingers crossed.
well said bro... u have raised the voice of Honda lovers. I personally have a love towards honda but the attitude they are showing is not bearable. They are launching CBR250 RR new CBR 150 R in Indonesia n Thailand which is far behind from fast growing nation India in terms of GDP n growth ignoring the need n requirements of Indian peoples especially the youth. I personally love this video n tnx again for raising voice against the rude behavior of HMSI.
Evn i own an cbr250r..n share the same feelings...i hav a 2014 black Abs model...n m shocked tht there are no upgrades from honda over the cbr in these many years...only new paint schemes... Cbr is the most comfortable fully faired motercycle as much as i kno bt it has lost all respect it had in the past...cz it evm now is expensive n does not come wid all the bells n whistles....honda should work on this... i m wid u strell🖒
You are spot on with your words but there's something I would like to tell, CBR has its own fan following and you can't deny the fact that even after 4-5 years from its launch date it still bags some buyers (Although the number is nowhere near to its competitors). I bought a cbr 250 a month back and you know what was the reason behind buying a half decade old bike? The reason was I wanted a fully faired motorcycle on which I can tour and honestly I never felt comfortable on any naked motorcycle when it comes to touring on it and thus due to lack of options I bought the cbr (RC 200/390 was not considered as an option due to its too aggressive riding posture, The RS 200 has too many curves and creases for my liking and finally R3 and Ninja 300 were way out of my reach). So what else were the options for fully faired? Nothing. I feel Honda India still has an opportunity if they update the cbr with latest tech and some design cues borrowed from elder siblings and mind you it would be one hell of a Fully faired 250 cc where you can enjoy track days and tour comfortably as well.
u said it right bro....I thought that the new 2017 cbr 250rr would be launched in India but I was disappointed to know that they r not gonna launch it in India....
same was my feeling and people who really are honda fans.... really disappointed with honda india attitude for the past 5 yrs, that's lack of respect towards biking enthusiast in our country & its gonna cost honda its reputation among bikers here.
So damn true....share the same feelings as u Strell...stuck with a '13 cbr..and it's painfull to see that this is the end...c'mon Honda...cbr250rr is the way to go forward...
whatsoever..... owning a Honda machine makes u feel great on every aspect.....Honda is a title winner guys....it's found in world's top 3 motorcycle companies...I own a Honda CBR 250r ....I am totally satisfied....
i know that i am really late on sharing my view on this video but @Strell you have made a voice for all the honda lovers in india, who all are eagerly waiting for honda to launch their 300cc segment bike and yes all the honda lovers and even bike enthusiastic are dissapointed and let down by honda inida on not launchin any more bikes in india, and i guess that they now want to make their mark in activas and mopeds for uncles and aunties as you have mentioned no problem and completing forgetting the youth hopefully honda india watches this and if they have watched this video they should do something on launching their new CBR series a brilliant video and spotonn message to HONDA INDIA
Hi strell watching this video have created a huge doubt in my mind on buying the CBR250R. Firstly I am a huge honda fan and really wanted to upgrade from my pulsar180 to CBR250R, but seeing this video now m having second thoughts... As a owner of CBR250R yourself please suggest should i go for the new CBR250R? Thanks
What have you said true i have been searching for past years there some news will honda 300r and 500 is going to being launched but not in india all new bikes are launched in indonesia you said true words the feel of honda bike lovers thank you i download this video and try to reach any whois responsible Thankyou from John
Respect to the courage you took bruh... Its been an year when honda launched the new 2017 250rr in Indonesia ... i waited for that machine to come to India not because its much more than just a machine ..but because it would change the whole motorcycle market in India.. the company claimed if the CBr 250rr would be launched in india the ex.showroom price would come across 2.8 lakhs ... which is a higher range as you said regarding the 650f that they have increased the price tag when compared to other motorcyles... but if they were smart ... they could have reduced the features such as stock akra exhaust in the 250rr n simple shits like that... honda delivers much efficient engines bruh... but like you i really wish the company would have done something to bring a new machine to India for the youth
very well said!! Its been 6 years dude! wake up honda honda took 250 - 400 cc segment for granted and nw they hv to pay Nw honda is not only late to party bt.... has lost it......really
Maybe this video was uploaded by you 3 years ago...but it's roots still haunt me. I just can't understand how come hero motorcorp and Honda the parent itself have just disappeared from the performance segment motorcycle brand. It's like Honda is not even bothered...and same goes with the son himself. These companies were known for their enginee smoothness performance and reliability...and off course looks that were always youth appealing. God bless these 2 companies. And personally till date I miss the old CBR 250R and it's grey color Wich was perhaps the most eye catching color bikes of Honda
