thanks i bought a new router and didnt think about the fact i had to reconnect it to the new router . I called blink i was on hold for 24 mins then went to you tube and you helped me fix it before they even picked up

Thanks...exactly what I was looking for. I just got a wifi extender, which has its own network, and I wasn't sure if I had to update the wifi network on the cameras I wanted to connect to this new extended network or what.

I've just bought a WiFi extender for my mums blink cameras as the signal on her 2 outside cameras is awful. I can't figure out how to connect the WiFi extender to the sync module. I presume I just do what this guy did in the video. Is it easy to connect the WiFi extender to the camera system.? 😉

I did this same thing and it just says "wifi password is incorrect" -- but I can see it, and it's absolutely correct. So I'm not sure what to do now..

@@davidmoss682 I got mine to work. Unplug your sync module for about 10 seconds.. and then hold down the reset button-- and plug it back into power-- WHILE holding the reset button... For me, it was just a solid blue light at this point: --- Then go through the steps in the app again.. At this point it still failed to find the module.. So I held down on the reset button for 10 to 20 seconds again---- and the red light came on .... So I let go of the reset button.. then it should have the blinking light. (it might take a few seconds).. Then I just tried again with the app-- and it decided to work this time................. I'm not sure what exactly fixed it-- I just know that this is the order of steps that somehow worked for me.

Got a new router and after all of the different ways and suggestions, still unable to add my SM and connect to wifi. Very frustrating.

I had the same thing happen and figured it out. I got a new plan from Xfinity and my blink module won't connect and keep saying wrong password. Steps I did: Remove power wire from module and hold down reset button for 20 seconds. Still holding down reset button I plug the power wire to my module and hold for another 20 seconds then release and then press the reset button 10 times Now blue light turns on. Green light is off. Press the reset button for 10 seconds and release now both blue and green light are on. Press the scan for device . Once connected to your blink module it will ask to connect to your Internet and add the password. At this point blink module is going to say updating your module and will take a few minutes. After update my camera work again. I tested out by going on live view and it's wasn't working so I reset my phone and everything went back to normal. Hope this helps everyone.

When I get to the part to add to network I don't see my home network. I fear that my new router from Comcast is only 5Ghz and my understanding is that Blink only works with 2.4Ghz

Great video, just what ive been searching for for ages. Ive bought a WiFi extender for my mums outside cameras as the signal on both is awful. I'm having trouble connecting the camera system to the TP Extender. Do i just do what you've shown in the video.? Do i just change the network.? I cant seem to find any videos on RU-vid explaining how to set up a WiFi extender to blink..🥴

I have my blink set up to my Alexa on my echo show. Each time my motion detection goes off she let's me know on my echo device but she's not saying outside Camera, it's like a huge number she says each time it goes off. I can't figure out how to get her to say outside Camera when the motion detection goes off.

I went in settings where it shows the serial number (that's the number Alexa's saying) and changed it to what I wanted. Example: Front door, Side Door, Patio door, etc. Just tap on the number and the keyboard will display so that you can delete the numbers and enter the name of your choice. Hope this helps!

@@JAS6078yes I did this too. So now my Alexa says which camera is which, rather than her reeling off that long number 😂. I've just bought a WiFi extender for my mums cameras but having trouble connecting it.? I presume I just have to change the WiFi network like I this video.?

It does work.. You don't need the subscription.. I got mine to work.
