Had this problem then I watched and thought I was screwed so I decided to call the support help and he walked me through it all and now I back up and running. Reset router 3 minutes Reset cam Unplugged module hold reset 30 seconds plugged back in while continuing holding the reset and all is well. Hope it helps
I have tried everything, no way I unplugged my router obviously reset it 1000 times and made the password literally the easiest tried everything. This system pissin me off
@lambertainment9618 I just got mine working after hours of resetting and unplugging. I put the module in sync mode (blue flashing light), then connected to it outside of the app, just in my WiFi settings like I would connect to my router, then opened the blink WiFi settings and changed the MAC type from random MAC to phone MAC. Then went into the app and the set up just worked first time, hope this helps.
I am having this issue currently 4/10/24 - Spectrum is my internet provider and I recently upgraded equipment specifically my router. This being the case of course any stored history on my old router would have been on this has now been deleted or destroyed in the updated new router. With this being said as a result now my Blink system is failing. I have tried everything in this forum BUT what you mentioned about " I was instructed to unplug the sync module, using the paper clip push and hold the reset button while plugging the sync module back into power." - if this works.. you're a life saver and certainly appreciated. I will update with my results later to see if this updated firmware and got my sync module to connect.
Loved your video!! Very concise and to the point. I did learn that the extra tool is really not needed because I was at that point too. The real issue is that you must use the same network that your phone or device is on for the network you are trying to connect the Sync Module to. They can't be on different networks or it will say "incorrect password". It won't tell you that you must be on the same network, that's too convenient. So, no need for any extra tools.
I have had my blink system for a couple of years now and I am aware of cellphone having to be connected the same wifi network that you want to connect the sync module to. My sync module suddenly no longer has the ability to acknowledge a correct PW ─ seems that the only fix is to get another sync module as I have tried many fixes including deleting and re-adding the sync module. At this point it seems appropriate to use the hammer method. Oh my bad ─ I didn't delete the cameras first!
Exactly what happened to me. I thought I was going crazy with the wrong password message. After watching this video I bought a brand new sync module 2 and everything works.🎉
This tracks because mine won't reset wifi and I've tried everything. When I emailed me they suggested the same things I already did. Then when I let them know it didn't work and I tried those, they sent me the exact same email, so I was, like I said this didn't work, so they sent me the same email AGAIN a third time, exactly the same. I guess your solution is the one i need.
I thought the sync module died, I bought a new one. The same crap happens with the new module. I thought it was the router. I bought a new router. The same crap happens. This sync module sucks.
Mine is doing the exact same thing... "wrong wifi password" -- when I KNOW it's right, I'm using it on 4 other devices.. So I know the password is right. Blink is trazh
Hahaha poor guy,, I had the same problem and the problem is not the device it was my internet. Let me explain the password was correct my computer and cellphone was working properly but when I check the speed of the WiFi I only have 13 % of the speed that I suppose to get so my internet representative send someone to fix my internet and my cámaras are now working properly.
