Wow and i was just going to buy one i had to step on to load it with some string thank you cold steel for making one that loads so fast and easy definitley saving up and buying this one
Isn't this just a re-badged Cobra R9? I don't necessarily have a problem with that if the Cold Steel version costs the same or less. But otherwise what's the difference?
yes it is the same designed by Jorge Sprave on the slingshot channel, he also designed a 5 shot clip, that will actually hold 6, when Jorge designed this he purposely left the patent open for other manufactures to build and supply so that the price could remain low. so very thoughtful of Jorge Sprave and nice that cold steel is following Joerge`s wish and keeping these somewhat affordable, and i hope they make the repeater like this.
OUTSTANDING!!!! This is a real back packable weapon. Which is what I was looking for. Same design as that R9 sniper but looks like it is made from better material and DEFINITELY better bolts. The R9 looks more like a toy which would be used for nothing other then target practice on a range
For me, I don't find the red dot sight or the foregrip necessary or particularly useful, so I removed them. I can still shoot tight groups like the ones in this video using the included open sights, and the crossbow packageis handier, lighter, and more packable without them.
Joerg Sprave from the Slingshot Channel just introduced a version of this same crossbow WITH a magazine that holds up to 6 bolts. Fire 6 bolts as fast as you can cock the bow. I'll buy it in a heartbeat if Cold Steel brings it to the USA. :-)
They are the same, Joerg Sprave designed these, he can be seen on te slingshot channel which is his site. When Joerg released this design he refused to limit production or sell high-end bow companies because he knew if he did they would be overpriced and very few could afford these awesome bows.If you go to his store at--- go gun.de and that the 5 shot repeater it comes with the red dot, a laser, and a flashlight
Dude they are made by the same company, I have a Cheap shot and the sling said ek archery!! This is a better deal. The Ek will cost you 399 at amazon, but you can find the cheap shot 130 for 234 olive green!
I wouldnt know either ive looked in blades and bows theres that prepperuk site they have all the new stuff mate on a level this is kinda shite go on excaliber crossbows website there cheapest one is way better than this thing regularly just sayin this is cool tho
this is available worldwide, Jorge Sprave designed it and has a web site that sells some cool things and the Cobra RX 9 which is the original and is the repeating model. The repeating model comes with a red dot site, and few other things, the clip holds 5-6 shots. Jorge's store site is-- go gun.de, and he just got a shipment of 2,000 in, the cost is around 375 euro`s for the repeater, the euro is about the same as the American dollar
The red dot sight is inferior, standard bolts don't fit and finding the ones made by cold steel are impossible to get. Replacement parts are nonexistent and it seems that Cold steel has abandoned this product. my two cents and a owner of this crossbow.
here is one model with a built-in a quiver, well a clip that holds 5 bolts, 6 if you want to, the model is called the Cobra RX 9 adder, sold on {go gun.de} this and the cheap shot were designed by Joerg Sprave of the Slingshot channel, he allows open production so that everyone can afford this cool bow. It's nice to see Colsteel building one so that there is competition and a competitive price.
I believe they mention the feet per second in the first Cheap Shot 130 video they just released a couple days ago. I think they said it was in the 220+ fps range, but I could be wrong. It's worth watching the first video, it's over 17 minutes long and they take deer and feral hogs with the Cheap Shot 130 and their plastic arrowheads like the buzzsaw. It cuts a 1 inch diameter hole through targets and drops game fast.
Cool. But it's a toy right? I mean you're firing inside your house? Also your cocking lever is the entire length of the crossbow. In summary: I'd like to play with it, but, I can't use it. Cool toy bro. See my reply.
@@NegativeHeadspace This can be used for fun or for hunting. It's a 130lb draw weight and has been measured as high as 240 FPS, so it absolutely needs to be treated with the same respect as any hunting crossbow or firearm. You will need to check your local hunting requirements, but we've harvested whitetail deer with this setup.
