To all these people saying "oh they'll be lonely" etc.... my father had a child (obviously), and then he was a dick and ran me out of his life. We haven't spoken in 10 years. I don't ever plan on speaking to him again. He's also divorced from my mom (whom i have a great relationship with).... obviously having a child doesn't guarantee you wont be lonely. My father is the loneliest man on earth.
Emma's right, people do have kids for their own enjoyment. They complain about the reduced sex life and free time but at the same time they love having kids. And if you want to live that way, fine, but don't act like you're doing everyone else a favour

It goes back to religion, politics, and tradition. A lot of people see the world for what it is, and decide it's not for them, the same thing with the single by choice aspect. I definitely don't think people who are childfree by choice or single at heart deserved to be raped, just because they don't want to fulfill the gender role, or want to be left alone to do their own thing.
there are thousands of us out here that have chose to be child free and are VERY happy with our lives. We also don't want to interact with YOUR kids... Too many parents are crappy parents and that makes being around them and their kids difficult.
I don’t understand condemning a person for not wanting children. I don’t want to go sky diving or be a brain surgeon either. Live the life you want to live. People do often have children for the wrong reasons. You have to want them badly, be prepared to plan your life around them, have the resources, but then be fully aware your job is temporary and you must develop who you are without them. Your job is to raise them and let them go. My kids are the two biggest blessings and miracles in my life, but parenting isn’t for everyone. Nothing is for everyone! 🙏🏻💜👼🏻✝️😇

I am child free and I don't like how some child free couples try to project that they are superior to those who chose to have kids. This isn't a good representation of what it means to be child free.
Yeah while they're flipping through their photo books the other couples will be playing with their grand kids and having visits from their adult children. Nostalgia is fleeting, the present moment is all you have when you're older
I think you should have kids if you wish, but I think those of us who choose not to are fine too...but maybe I'm wrong. I don't judge you for your decisions in life...Maybe we can be friends in old age??? :) Your grandchildren can be spoiled by me too! But maybe I am not that limited as to believe I have to have kids to love kids. Hmmm.

Well I do think when they are older and their friends and other family members are having grandkids they will feel a hint of remorse and jealousy. They are too young to realise yet .
