I made this and... OH MY GOD, like... the only way I can describe how it tastes is hot chocolate, with the whipped cream and stuff.....INCREDIBLE. I can see myself making this a lot in the winter, ( because I live in Canada and I always crave something chocolatey and decadent to get me through the cold harsh winters) so THANK YOU LAURA, you saved my life.

Hi, I'm not Laura but I can answer your question, yes you can use a round pan but you have to butter it very very well, otherwise you won't be able to unmold it (meringue is very sticky) maybe it would be easier for you to use a springform pan (like when you're making cheesecake)

Something can be perfection without every line being straight, the levels absolutely even, etc. Don't see her comment as hypocritical. LOVE her energy. I also think she has seen a good opera lately. There are some that can make you want to try to sing even if you can't. This video make me smile.
I love pavlova in the summer with fresh berries, its my favourite ever so I can only imagine how amazing CHOCOLATE pavlova will be! Definitely will be trying this asap!

Yes OMG I'm from Australia and I always make pavlova topped with cream, strawberries and passionfruit (its the traditional christmas topping in my family for pavlova). Sometimes even kiwi fruit as well depending on how sweet the passionfruit is. I never thought passionfruit was that hard to come across because back home it is usually available 10 months of the year, and when its not available fresh, the pulp is sold in cans in the supermarket.
Hi Laura, when making the pavlova with passion fruit, try adding some lemon juice to the cream. The light citrus is divine with the passion fruit on top.
I'm only 18 and let's just say I am NOT a very good baker/cook...but....My pavlova is in the oven right now and looks like it is going to come out amazing!!!!! (: So proud of myself. lol I hope it tastes as good as it looks.

Also, it works really well if you preheat your oven reallllly hot and then turn it down just before you put it in, it makes the outside really crispy :)
