In this episode, we put a unique twist on a saison with the help of some rhubarb! Chip sits down with C&B fan Robert Cone for tasting notes on his Rhubarb Saison. They discuss Robert’s brewing technique including how he used four pounds of rhubarb throughout all parts of the process to craft this effervescent, crisp, tart homebrewed saison. The only time I've ever had rhubarb was in upstate New York, and I'm not a fan. But my mother is from Tennessee, and she said she ate rhubarb as a kid. And now I need to brew a saison.

Straight up rhubarb pie, rhubarb jam, or a rhubarb pudding with double cream. Rhubarb liqueur is awesome too. Rhubarb juice or cider too. Fantastic little plant.

Rhubarb grows well in the north of England, they grow it in dark sheds and you can actually hear it growing it's that vigorous.

i just think all beers have been already created and nothing is new.... many experiment with many things. i heard of dear bone....what would be next....roadkill? of course rab. is a season classic. only difference can be in the brewing process. don.t get me wrong...it looks good allright.. both the vid and the rab beer

There's a brewery in Owego, NY (The Farmhouse Brewery) that does a strawberry rhubarb cream ale every year for the local strawberry festival.

When you coming to Japan? Craft beer is on the way up. Got a friend who owns a micro brewery.... The only one that's independently owned in Japan!!! You need to come and shoot a bunch on development of craft beer.

+Ryan Demond Man, I WISH I had the travel budget (as in "any travel budget") to come toJapan! I met a guy at the Summit Beer Hall a few months back that is/was involved in a craft beer bar that really got me interested in the area.

Let's get sometime to talk. I'm building a homebrew shop and I have a bunch of friends who own craft brew bars. It's really taking off but the laws are not on the Brewers side. We need all the exposure we can get.
