The choice to have Nara's inner thoughts represented by the VA whispering left me constantly expecting the other characters to ask "Did you say something?"

*Tries to attain galactic peace with extreme violence* *Murder peace falls* *Commits Genocide as revenge for failed failed Murder peace* *Runs away from crimes*

I've almost completed Chorus and highly recommend it. I won't spoil much, but the ship in this video is only featured for an hour or so until you get your feet wet. Once you upgrade to the hero ship and are able to drift (among other powers), the gameplay really rockets up from good to excellent. It has a solid story, a cool relationship between your character and her ship, lots of combat variety, and just enough side material to keep things interesting. It really is the perfect length, too. I can tell I'm going to wrap it up at around 20 hours which is just about perfect; long enough to try everything out a few times, but not long enough to feel repetitive or dragged out. A surprising gem!

As soon as you said Freelancer, i had to go and find my DVDrom that i have from back in the Napster days of all the games that i traversed thousands of viruses to pirate. Such a great game!

This game reminds me of Descent (1995), I had a blast playing it ages ago. I must try it, thanks for sharing.

I would love to see more of this game in a stream. The world is beautiful and the story is dark and mysterious. I will definitely wishlist this game for sure.

Gunna be honest. This game would be MUCH more immersive and interesting if we played our own characters. The fallout style-ish dialog caught my attention as being really cool, but immediately hearing the girl whisper to herself every 5 seconds just drew me out of it.

Absolutely stunning ! Between the contemplative zen of space exploration and admiring vistas, and the dopamine infused space dog fights with crazy psychic abilities thrown in the mix...it looks like hours and hours of immersive goodness.

Getting some ‘lancer’ Series vibes…and a bit of the old Darkstar vibes. Those were fun!

Nara is kind of a creep, but that's to be expected from a planetcidal.

I like the whispering... Or internal dialogue. You get a better understanding of your character.

deepsilver make the x series, if you are into space sims then x2 and x3 were amazing, huge, mind bendingly complex games. They had their flaws but they were still some of the best space sims ever made.

I'm not sure if I want this, Everspace 2 (when it's out of early access), or even that recent Star Wars space dogfighting game...But I know I want one newish space dogfighting game now that I have a pretty badass (for me) PC to play it on. Always fun to watch this channel, though!

Reminds me of the PC game "Descent" I played back in the day.

Last time I mess up at the space docks in elite dangerous. The dock sent me a fine of 500 credits. No need to ask how much debt 1st? Your flying must be titled "Little chick" I think you travel faster if you follow that railway like gate.

Man, the way you pick up stuff by flying over their huge onscreen icons really jars, especially as they tried to make the game look so realistic. Could have made them a lot smaller and then you scoop them.

Oh my... this certainly looks arcadey enough and sufficiently distinct in terms of mechanics, so that it probably won't clash with my addiction to X4 Foundation. Might just scratch a totally different itch, and shouldn't cause my head to constantly compare those two. But the constant urge to stand on the bridge of a giant capital ship and order its cannons to open fire while watching the rest of the fleet do the same will probably stay with me forever...

Makes me wanna replay Freelancer

Chiming one year later. This is a great game. The only complain is inability to save mid quest, which can be really annoying. If you accept too many missions at once, prepare to play for few hours before being able to save.
