You gift us with short, succinct, and biblically sound teaching of God's WORD! I often "repeat" the message..not for lack of understanding, but for feeling enlightened eah time. You make learning delightful. I Thank the Father for you. 😊

Thank you, great explanation. Can I add, the old covenant was a promise between God and man via Moses. (Man failed) New Covenant is a promise between God the Father and God the Son and neither failed!!!! We inherit the results of that promise and God the Spirit lives in us to remind us of our righteousness In Christ!!!!!

Chad, can you make a video of examples how Christ fullfils promises. I know that he fullfils all his promises but I’m lack of knowledge what promises he fullfils specifically. Having faith in his promises gives us confidence in him. If you have free time do a video about that. I think auditory to know what specific promises he fullfils gives clarity to us, and understanding.

Why does Paul say to the Ephesians that they were "alienated from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers to the covenants of promise" if all those covenants of promise are done away with?

You said in your clip "In Christ we've been set free". In the context of your video, I assume then that you teach that the Old Covenant was bondage? That those who lived under the Old Covenant, lived in bondage? How can you reconcile that with the fact the our heavenly Father gave the laws under the Old Covenant? Are you really teaching that He deliberately put His people in bondage?

I didn’t say this on my own; the apostle Paul did. See Galatians 3:21-23, “Is the law then contrary to the promises of God? Certainly not! For if a law had been given that could give life, then righteousness would indeed be by the law. But the Scripture imprisoned everything under sin, so that the promise by faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe. Now before faith came, we were held captive under the law, imprisoned until the coming faith would be revealed…” There it is: We were help captive under the law. The entirety of Galatians spells this out.

@@chadbird1517 I know that's what the English words say in the book of Galatians, but don't you find it strange that it's the interpretation we have been going with all these years? How do we reconcile this to those we teach and preach to? How can the very word of God be so contradictory? In the front of the book these very laws are called perfect and sweeter than honey. But then in the back of the book we are being set free from it. Or could it be that our interpretation of the apostles writings need a rethink, cause I cannot see how those who spent all those years with Him or the likes of Paul who had the encounter with Him, would all of a sudden come up with a view of what the heavenly Father gave to Moses through angels, to now be called a burden. Something doesn't add up.

Even before the death of Jesus on the cross the old covenant law was given to Israel. Not to gentiles. Romans 2:14-15. So after the death of Jesus the law was obsolete to the Jew. So through belief in Jesus any person who is saved lives by the Spirit.
