Once Lana returns, notice that Lois is no longer in the picture, she fades away. Same thing in Season 8, once Lana is back in his life Clark is fixated on her and only her. I would’ve love to see her come back right before Clois’s wedding. Would’ve love to see that dynamic, now that would’ve been great TV!
I agree about Clana > Clois, but I don't think they didn't show Lois because Lana came back. She (Lois) was there with them but wasn't pictured in the same scenes as them because most likely it was senseless to show them together.
No way, season 8 was closure. Even if they could have been together, wouldn't have happened. Clark was just excited that Lana was back, he didn't really stop to think. But he would have eventually. Eventually he would have asked the tough questions, pointed out that she left him twice with no contact, basically ripping his heart out.
Honestly, it seemed that anytime Lana was around Lois was a distant second. And if he asked me, his heart never left Lana. The funny thing about the series is that the story between Lana and Clark and their love for one another is way stronger than Lois and Clark.
@Scott Whaley Not sure I agree with this statement. The thing is Clark went through a lot to finally open up to Lana but then for it to go nowhere, that made it seem wasted to him so of course he was going to try and hold on to that because of all the effort he had put in. But I'm just saying, from where I stand, even before season 8 this relationship was winding down The way Lana ended it was heartbreaking but it would have happened anyway. It's because of how it ended that Clark was willing to jump back in so fast. But if you read the signs, it would have occurred organically anyway. Lana couldn't handle being with him and not being able to physically protect herself or Clark. She was always trying to get power to be his equal. She was afraid constantly because of everything she had been through and it's totally understandable. But she would never be comfortable. Clark was growing up and part of that is seeing things more clearly. He no longer saw her as the innocent girl next door and if he had known her only as the woman she became, I don't think he would have had the same feelings about her. The past was the only thing keeping them together. Lana loved the boy he used to be, Lois loved the man he became.
First the touch of her hand on his shoulder..and his heart starts beating faster..He turns around, just to make sense out of that strange feeling..Then that stroke on his face, and there are no more doubts left..
The way they are looking at each other just wouaah. Clana didn't even need words to express fheir feelings to each others. The writers really let their amazing chemistry speak for itself.
their chemistry are very strong even when they just look at each other and have a normal conversation without physical interaction. this chemistry is very rare and it's a shame that the show wastes this
@@BeaWalsh same i wsh they could be together again and yes i did watch smallville 6 weeks ago also i was born in early 2000s just like raimi spider man trilogy and i will rewatch it again i promise
@@ethancattell7237 i was in highschool when smallville came. Nobody knew lana and clana would be so big. Everybody was aware about lois but didnt know much about smallville or how the story will go. When they were shown, my God, they clicked! Everybody was talking about lana, and their chemistry! 💕 It created a fan wars too 😅 did you finish the whole 10 seasons?
The only reason she understood him so well because she had his cameras in his house, and in the barn watching him 24 seven. She was a stalker. However, Clark could not see the forest for the trees. If he could’ve seen the forest for the trees he would probably use this heat vision to teach her a lesson.
In Crisis, it's revealed that after being Superman for a while, he's given up his powers and is no longer effected by kryptonite. He can be with her again.
Well, he couldn’t really because that would be adultery because he’s married to Lois. Second of all Lana was a user. So she didn’t want anything to do with him after he lost his powers because he couldn’t do anything for her. She went onto the next superhero, which I believe was Shazam. But she got in trouble because he was under age and had to go do a little jail time.
the writers should have ended the story with lana and clark together. it would have been nice because the love they had was so true and intense. The love scene was so awesome which they had i loved it
Jace N Smallville differs a lot from comics. For example, Clois meets in Smallville not in Metropolis, Lana’s hair is dark not red, there’s a new character (Chloe), Bizarro loves Lana not Lois, etc. So why Clana couldn’t be endgame? There are SO MANY cartoons, movies, TV series about Clois as a main couple, and WILL BE in the future. So it wouldn’t be apocalypse, if at least in ONE SINGLE Superman adaptation Clark would end up with other girl not Lois.
@J.C. McCringleberry Deeply analyzed the life of clark kent and everything that happened in the course of the smallville series, we realize that clark did everything possible to stay with lana lang, which in the version of the series, was not a childhood passion, adolescence, as in the HQ and if his great love from childhood to adulthood. both were separated enters their will. Another fundamental reason clark's love for wool is every time he could choose, he chose to keep wool, being in his normal state, or not, within dreams, hallucinations, affected by red kryptonite or any other toxin in the fictional universe that can change your behavior. this is something very significant, as it shows the depth of clark's feelings for lana.
I think this scene shows why Clark was so offended when Lana couldn't tell Bizzaro had taken his place. At this point, he thought she was dead. He could have thought this wasn't her, but some sort of alien or meteor-infected person (this is Smallville, after all). But he KNEW it was her. I think he was angry that SHE couldn't do the same when the time came.
You know the casting is right when every time the girl enters a room, all the atmosphere changes for something between a dream and a magic... Kristen Kreuk was the perfect Lana Lang, that kind of beauty is rare...
Lots of people state that Clark could get over Lana’s death, but not Lois’. I totally disagree. Clark’s words in ‘Pandora’, ‘Lois, I died when you left’. What did he mean by ‘died’? He couldn’t move on with his PERSONAL life and live as Clark Kent. After Lois’ sudden disappearance Clark decided to devote his time to Jor-El’s training. Also he turned off his feelings because he blamed himself in Jimmy’s death: Clark thought that his human part killed a person. So he rejected his emotions exactly for this reason. That’s why at the end of season 8 and at the beginning of season 9, he had poker face: Jimmy died (Clark’s ‘fault’). Pay attention, when Lois returned from the future and Clark’s thoughts were about her when he was training (it’s perfectly natural because his ‘dead’ beloved one suddenly returned alive), at first he didn’t want to live as Clark Kent again, because he hated his human part. Only after a few time, he decided it would be better if he returned to Metropolis, reunited with his beloved ones, and accepted himself as a human again. Also Clark started wearing black at the end of 'Doomsday' due to Jimmy's death, not Lois' disappearence. It's proved in season 9, when Lois came back, he didn't stop wearing that colour. When Lana ‘died’ in ‘Phantom’ Clark also couldn’t move on with his PERSONAL life (here he didn’t cry after her ‘death’ because he already had been shocked and had known what it meant to lose Lana in ‘Reckoning’. I also noticed that when Chloe was crying over Lana’s ‘death’ and hold him, Clark nearly started crying too but immediately stopped it). He decided to leave Smallville to start Jor-El’s training. Clark’s first task from him (Jor-El) was *to watch over Kara.* That’s why he stayed and didn’t break ties with his beloved ones: Chloe, Martha, and the others (unlike in ‘Doomsday’ and ‘Savior’ where his task was to distance himself from all others and train for fighting with Zod). But here he didn’t have poker face because no one died through his ‘fault’. A scene proving he indeed couldn’t get over losing Lana was the ending of ‘Bizarro’: they both (Clana) being at the different parts of the world (she was in China, he was in The USA, two opposite parts of the planet ❗️) looking at the moon and thinking about each other as if they could feel each other’s hearts ♥️ Then when Lana returned and touched Clark’s shoulder, he immediately recognized who was standing behind him (as if deep down he never accepted her death and was waiting her come back) 😍 And according to his reaction, he couldn’t believe she was real, when Lana touched his face 💕 Also in ‘Pandora’, there was a dark atmosphere where villains were gonna take over the world and kill Clark, Lois, Chloe, Oliver. That’s why Clois talked about death. Here in ‘Fierce’, everything was alright. That’s why Clana didn’t talk about death. But considering what I mentioned above, it’s obvious that Clark’s feelings were the same in both (Lana&Lois’) situations. All the other situations when Lana left (‘Arctic’, ‘Requiem’), Clark was devastated but not ‘dead’ because at least she still was alive and healthy.
Do you always have to write a novel? It might be easier to explain to these people what you mean by using crayons. Then again, I usually agree with you.
I disagree with all of you all. Clark was lying when he said all those things. He didn’t need Lois nor Lana. He can get any woman he wanted. Plus both Lana and Lois are users. They are nobodies so they both tried to get on the superman train And I’ll Clark Kent did was pick the lesser of the two evils. Clark Kent should’ve been man enough to use his heat vision on both of them to set the tone early to let them know that he was going to date both of them, and they were going to like it. And they would’ve liked it. Because both of them were Klingers.
@Garret Clark: she didn't lie to him, because he can die. Lionel had known that Kryptonite would kill Clark, and he told Lana that he would use it against Clark if she didn't marry Lex.
+Theri4444 Neither did I and I understand everything as it is Clark is honest and loves her he really does but he just doesn't want Lana in danger that's why he kept him from her to protect her and not to Mention the fact that lex tricked Lana into believing that she had a baby when he really was just experimenting on her and Lionel threatning her like that is a stupid thing to do he did exactly what Clark never wanted to do he put Lana in danger because lex has made many more enemies than Clark not to mention the fact that the wedding was done by coloring the truth and leaving out facts it goes against the truth of what's really going on so to be realistic they were never married
So After rewatching the Series again because of the Talkville Podcast, I have to laugh at Clark's line "Lana I thought you died, if you knew how that felt?" I'm like dude she saw you die from a gunshot and then saw you walking like nothing happen in season 5? Not really a good line there by the writers IMO.
Alicia and Clark had no chemistry, none at all it was so painful to watch season 8 9 10 I couldn't do it. Clana should have been endgame especially since it was his time before he meet louis
Erin Underwood Lex made a clone of her, which she took from a dam (Reeve's Dam, if I remember correctly) and placed it in her car with a bomb inside it. Before the explosion happened, an ambulance or some kind of emergency vehicle covered her car while passing by and the person driving helped her get inside that vehicle. Moments after, Lana's car blew up with her clone inside right in front of Lionel Luthor who went to The Talon to stop her from leaving Smallville, making it look like Lana had really died.
Eduardo Trevino that’s what Lionel gets for being selfish and stupid even if Lana was faking her death the fact is she wanted him to feel hurt for putting her through hell and not letting her make her own decisions like Johnathan Kent said solve your own problems Lana and Clark’s relationship was not Lionel s problem
@@dianaw.5643 She realized that was a big mistake and she did it in order to run away because her doctor threatened to send her back to belle Reeve if she didn't stop seeing Clark
@@jaisenweaver7938 okay, then it was a serious lapse in judgement and it spoke of her lack of strength of character. There are certain characters that everyone knows would never behave in such a rash way (at least not without outside influence) especially not out of fear. She was not for him and I was glad to see her go
