My life long dream has always been wanting to meet and shake hands with Clint Eastwood. A dream that will never happen. But let me say, thank you Clint for bringing me the best westerns ever. As a child, you were my hero. As I am 61 now, I look at the one movie I have left and am grateful I still have The Good The Bad and the Ugly. It will be buried with me when I go. May I add, as a young man I had an 1862 Colt 44 gun that I practiced with every day for years and was one of the fastest draws in my area. I shot fast and hit my target 98% of the time. It was the passion of Clint Eastwood westerns that made me the gun slinger I was. Thank you again Mr. Eastwood.
Dear mr. Skinner ( may I call you Jerry ) , your format and exquisite Southern accent make all of your mini documentaries a pure joy to behold. I my humble blue-colour opinion, you are a true celebrity historian with the gift of timelessness that you bring to all of your productions.
"Death must be so beautiful. To lie in the soft brown earth, with the grasses waving above one's head, and listen to silence. To have no yesterday, and no tomorrow. To forget time, to forgive life, to be at peace." Oscar Wilde
Even though he's 27 years older than me, I feel like I grew up with him after watching this video. ;) Thanks for all the entertainment Clint! I will always charrish it, my old friend! ;)
90 is nothing he’ll probably live to be 100 because he stillJust might have to dig another swimming pool in fact he could probably do it what are we living far anyway? When he jumped out of that plane didn’t know if he would make it or not but he did that’s the way it is thank you sir for your mother we should thank her for all that help with with someone she probably got a kick out of…. And he probably knows that sometimes it is about getting lucky and sometimes like Caesar said you make your own luck and yes very good documentary I hope you don’t have to dig another swimming pool but hyou know really that might be a new beautiul beginning for another great film just look at Field of ….dreams ?build it and they will come…? Maybe it is like Steely Dan …this is the age of the expanding man … do you notice that I used punctuation where I want and what I want that’s the way I am …And there was a great book I thumbed through the Pages once called …death on the installment plan…and he wrote the whole book like that I thought well that’s pretty good I am always always optimistic so if you read this mystery story …Mr Clint Eastwood …do it …do what you can I guess We all fight for that first breath and live and I we fight for it until we die…probably learn to play the saxophone and you play just what you feel
A wonderful life..considers what you think wonderful is. A bunch of children w different women..while still being married to 1st wife..kept moving from woman to woman n having kids w each...you could equate that w polygamy almost. Strange..not for gun rights 2nd amendment! But he's respected by most..only in Hollywood! He got lucky!
@Ann Clarke Hi Ann..I was shocked..I had no idea he had so many children. You're right tho..all children are a blessing from GOD! His private life certainly was kept out of the "tabloids"!
Quick story, I was at the 1972 Crosby at Pebble Beach with my Dad. He had to go to the bathroom, Clint Eastwood walked in shortly after, I was standing outside. Dad came out then Eastwood, asked him did somebody stand next to you, he gave me a quizzical look and said yeah. I told him that was Clint Eastwood you were pissing next to. His reply “no different than me”. Fond memory.
My goodness, this is an amazing life story and pleasant tribute to a man of great talent so adored by many women. I hope his children love and adore him-we are all made of fragile clay. 🙏🏻✝️🌹❣️
I met Clint Eastwood through a work colleague of mine, Jean Grace. They were friends and Clint Eastwood later endorsed Jean to replace him as mayor of Carmel. I liked Eastwood. He was friendly, funny, and just seemed like a regular, non-pretentious guy.
Absolutely is one of my favs. He is beautiful and so talented. We have to cherish Clint Eastwood indeed. Life isn’t promised. Do you feel lucky punk ? Well do you Punk ? ❤️❤️❤️
Clint is way up there regarding the great films he has made not only as an actor but also as a director, no one will ever come close, he has entertained us so much throughout his career.
Hi, Jerry. Clint Eastwood Is a wonderful actor, especially in the Dollars Trilogy, and the Dirty Harry movies. On behalf of me and my family, I wish you and your family a joyous Merry Christmas, Jerry. I am looking forward to Audrey Hepburn and Charlton Heston stories next year.
. I don't know.... there's too much of an emphasis on his exes, exs?, ...his old squeezes, and not enough on how bad that movie was that almost made him quit acting. X] But in all honesty Jerry makes great vids. Blows the History Channel away, ..... and I know that ain't saying much but I just discovered his channel and have liked what I've seen so far.
Thank you Jerry. Clint has a small home on Hat Creek in northern California in Shasta county. Trout fishing is some of the best and any property with Hat Creek running through it is heaven. We were neighbors until I moved in 2006. His youngest child was born in Redding Ca. which is about 50 miles down the mountain. Soon after that Clint donated all the money needed to restore a historic land mark in Redding. An old movie theater that Clint said he used to attend when he was a kid. It was going to get the bulldozer treatment until Clint saved it. I loved this video Jerry.
Sticking with his wife when he was about to divorce her because she got seriously sick, that is class and morality. She was with him when the times were hard, and he honored that. Thanks for reminding us about the FBI harassment of Jean Seberg, they need to stick to "protect and serve" not make reprisals against free speech.
"Unforgiven". Excellent. Remember seeing "Play Misty for Me "...in my early twenties . Awesome...Mr Eastwood is a phenomenal actor, producer, ...and composer . Thank you for such talent ....and thank you Mr Skinner .
now you know where Clint get his backbone from hard work at a young age, a real man and still is one of my favorite actors and people in general, why because he's true and sticks to his guns
smvelvet46 - Not to excuse his behavior; but NOPE, they chased him! He NEVER had to "chase" after women like YOU have to! IF you were a MGTOW man, you'd know that!
It's always a pleasure to see a new Jerry Skinner video. Thank you for all the great biographies of so many classic film stars. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, Jerry!
Mr. Skinner, really enjoyed this one about Clint Eastwood! You sir always do such a great job! I come back often to hear your stories about great actors and such!
Back in the 80`s my wife and I was house sitting for my wife's mother in Carmel Ca, we were woken by loud noises outside the house , I walked out on the 2nd floor balcony and the street was lined with CNN, NBC, ABC, CBS and foreign news media trucks . I got dressed went down to the drive way entrance to see what was going on and next thing I new Clint Eastwood was standing next to me . He looked at me and said son what a media circus and shook my hand . He won the Mayoral election . I will never forget that morning .
Fantastic video Sir. I have always been a Clint Eastwood fan & as he lives a very quiet personal life this was a little surprising to watch. Clint Eastwood is a living Legend and thank you for your great documentaries. 👊😎👍
Thank you, "Jerry"! I always enjoy your care in putting together the information in your videos. Clint Eastwood, himself, couldn't have done any better. Merry Christmas and have a great New Year!
Clint Eastwood, Harrison Ford and Tom Hanks kept me in theaters for 30 years.....I must have spent ten thousand dollars on movie tickets and popcorn !!
My dad looked so much like Clint Eastwood . He looked so much like him that when my dad was killed in 1979 , I saw a newspaper laying on my grandmother's table and I picked it up and told my mother that there was another picture of daddy in the newspaper. She just kinda laughed and said no honey .... that's Clint Eastwood . It's not your daddy . This was only a few weeks after my dad was killed . I argued with her about that picture and she explained to me that he was an actor. I was only 10 yrs old. Thanks for sharing all of this information about Clint Eastwood . I never realized he had so many children. I also didn't know that was his son that played in the movie Gran Torino with Clint Eastwood .
