I like how you keep things simple and elegant. When I was younger and entertained often, I always did too much then was exhausted & flustered by the time my guests arrived. Now I keep it real simple, I watch others entertain on RU-vid! 💜

After we had a house fire, I had a lot of stress. So I had tea time daily for a few weeks. It distracted me enough to get to a better place. Now I am learning how to prepare the better homemade versions of teatime goodies from your vlog. Teatime has always brought beauty and calmness to my life. My favorite spring cocktail is a Pimm's Cup. Light and refreshing and there is the added bonus at the end, of snacking on the soaked cucumber, orange, apple and strawberry slices and grapes. You can use any combination of fruit you enjoy.

Your Charcuterie board looks so pretty. I want to see Mr. Fox, the guy that gets to eat, drink and enjoy the pool and gardens!

I could actually taste the asparagus and sun dried tomato tart. So simple to prepare as well. Would make a great lunch served with mixed greens salad.

I love your ideas! I also prepare my boards differently since my guests have severe nut allergies and celiac gluten intolerance, so I like to separate the nuts, cheeses, and crackers and label the gluten-free/nut free areas. Formal gatherings are so wonderful and relaxing! Thank you for your inspiring postings!

You asked! I often serve a lovely glass of Lillet, with a twist of orange peel and 1 ice cube. I know it’s an Aperitif but no one ever complains. (Most haven’t heard of it before) I am diabetic, also just sip it. It is a little lighter with the ice cube. It should be served cold and the orange is traditional. I admit because I do like them, I stuff dates with spreadable Port wine cheese. From about 1 cup size carton from most west coast grocery stores. Sometimes I marinate various olives, served over a little bed of home grown herb twigs. And marinated cherry ( pricked) tomatoes in home made tarragon vinegar. I put small dish of toothpicks. I always hope folks will like the assortment as are some of my own favorites, never a problem with leftovers. I want to make your asparagus tart. The tomato layer sounds like a good addition. I make a crust less quiche, lots of cheese and a few sliced stuffed green olives, last time. I am trying various elderflower cordial (no alcohol) mixtures. You must be familiar with it, do you have some suggestions. I saw a recipe for elderflower champagne in a wild plant recipe book, but I couldn’t afford it at the time. Was dealing with my son’s wedding. Was hosting his French friends. I enjoyed your kitty tales. Good for you to take her on and love her. My best to you and yours. Pet a kitty for me, as I tell my son.

GREAT GREENHOUSE! I have started to do all my window boxes. Two down two to do a 12' footer and a 4' footer. To economize I am adding chive plants, parsley, sage, for fillers Pansies, petunias, marigolds, nicotiana and geraniums. Only the geranium is in a 4" pot the rest come in sixes and fours are tiny, But plant them and BOOM they are ready to grow.

I make a DIY BOURSIN cheese spread I call SOURSIN (because my name starts with S.) Goat cheese room temp, sour cream, herbs of choice shallots, salt & pepper. Superb and cheap! Kevin remains…ADORBS!
