I watched the Stanford game, getting pushed all over the field, folks leaving in the 3rd quarter, the writing was on the wall.

The Urban Meyer ship has sailed fellas. Lady president didn't like Urban Meyer's image. She preferred a losing one. And after firing Lynn Swan, the new AD she hired couldn't persuade her (surprise). They literally turned down one of the best head coaches in FBS history after he MOVED to LA for a year. Having been a die-hard since 2003, I haven't tuned into a game since that moment.

They need to go after Clemson OC or Eric Bieniemy

I have far more respect for Bohn now. Helton is a nice guy, but he does not know how to coach up players. Most importantly, he does not know how to game plan and has poor game day management. And one more thing...he never hired better than himself! Graham Harrell is the perfect example.

USC is one of those programs that lives on past glory. I am an Appalachian state supporter. We just played miami and all I read was how the canes would run App.State off the field....they didn't. The game went down to the end. Nobody gave the Mountaineers credit for much of anything. It was always about how superior the canes were. Programs like USC, Miami, Texas and others have this elitist mentality.

Really bummed they didn't sign urban Meyer when he was available. I hope Chris Peterson changes his mind

Don’t be surprised if Nick Saben hires him to be his next OC since Lane Kiffin and Sarkissian been canned at SC and picked at in Tuscaloosa. As I said on a USC live chat room hours ago, the name is Joe Brady , he coached circles around nick Saban and Dabum in his 1 year at LSU breaking all the offensive records and turning Joe Burrow into the first pick in the draft. His NFL experience toys with these overrated college coaches and if kids from Cali stayed in state and went to USC to play for him ,he would win a national title in 2 years.

James Franklin has the number one recruiting class next season he’s not going anywhere. They should hire Graham. Hopefully they don’t lose Jaxson Dort, Miller Moss or Devin Brown. Kedon and Drake are gone after this season

I always wondered why USC never fought the recruiting violations when Kiffin was there. They had half their scholarships taken away and Kiffin was still competitive. I’m glad to see that there are still active boosters. I was beginning to think they had all died off.

When Adoree juju and Sam left early I knew Clay was garbage, and he refused to run the ball, like we had 3 starters, Steven Carr and Marquis Stepp left like seriously 🤷 I say Ed Orgeron, Patrick Graham, Don Martindale because they are defense guys like Pete was, stop this booster and alumni bullies who want QB driven offense guys, it's insane, run the ball and control the clock, rest defense... Back in 2005 we knew everyone on the team names because everyone was a working part, today can we find a middle school virgin to start at QB to flaunt this year? SMH

This took WAY too long. He was a bad hire and sucked the life out of the program. So many top players out of So. Cal steered away from them: Top 2 defensive players for Oregon; Starting QB for Clemson and Alabama; Running backs headed to Oklahoma, etc.

Usc is now several recruiting classes of talent down on Oregon. It will take several years to catch back up(top 5 team nationally) if they get the right guy. Plus, USC is honestly a dull brand now. The kids today haven't ever seen a good usc team. They see Helton's heros, a bunch of players getting pushed around by physical teams. As an oregon fan growing up in los angeles watching our teams get crushed by good usc teams, I know the feeling of not having the level of talent. Let's hope usc never gets back. No coliseum environment could ever match Autzen- usc fans aren't true football fans like Oregon

Helton came in as an assistant then interim head coach Ed Orgeron was passed up for the job (big mistake IMO), then again after Sarkissian was let go. Helton started with talent left over from the previous coaches' recruiting efforts. Then the school was rocked by scandals - admissions scandal, of which athletic department administrators were part of, gynocologist scandal at the Women's health center, Medical Center head scandal and a sexual harrassment allegation in the Business school. USC was under tremendous legal and financial liabilities. USC had to find a new President and Athletic Director, so it was in no position to search for a football coach with the tools to compete on the national stage. Helton was the safest choice they could have made while sorting out the bigger university-wide issues. Helton has never been anything more than a placeholder coach. The COVID season last year, when they played to empty stadiums was an excuse to keep him around for just one more season. Now that all of that is behind us, it's apparent that Helton is not the right person for that job, never really was. USC is now ready to move forward again and hopefully they'll get someone who can take us to the top.

How good is Chris Petersen? Jimmy Lake took over and Washington has fallen off the Cliff. They were winning PAC 12 titles with CP. He built a Boise State Empire and they have done nothing since he left there too.
