Join me for an early morning casual game while I prepare for the next Multiverse video! It’s an Early Morning Extra!
Here I wanted to show off a cool Colossus aggression deck I made I call T-1000 because it revolves around Fluid Motion, and Colossus already has Organic Steel. So he’s kinda like the T-1000 from Terminator 2. Anyways it’s a cool deck that would be terrible in solo so I gave him a partner to keep the board under control. Can Ghost Spider hold back a rampaging Rhino with the Reavers in tow?

Wouldn't you get two extra cards from your Web Bracelets when playing two events? - Cool game tough! I really like these quieter morning games

If I played two different events then yeah i could’ve used both bracelets. I probably just missed it lol. Usually with her it seems you play one event in the villain phase and one in the hero phase and use the bracelets that way. So I probably was just in that mode of thinking Thanks! As life takes on different challenges I have to find new ways to make content and I really enjoy making those!

The Internet is funny. Most times we want things polished and nice, some times we just want more, I guess? I like the less-polished games where we get to see some of the decision-making and some understandable mistakes.

Hey man love your streams. I wanted to share some insight on GS so you can enjoy her more. At the end of the game you acknowledge that Gwen was sort of Meh. To let her shine, I’d recommend you totally flip your mindset on her. In your mulligan you are digging hard for George and the Bracelets. They are nice to have cards, but not must have cards. They don’t change her in the way a Friction Resistance or Ant-Man’s Helmet changes those heroes. Your allies are much more important than either card. Despite an early Web of Life and Destiny, you played 0 web-warriors all game. That cost you lots of extra cards over the course of the game as well as multiple villain blocks. The extra cards from WoLaD will add up to let you play more upgrades and events, but you don’t have to rush that just to get her ready effect. Finally, remember that you can pay for Across The Spider-verse with a Web-Warrior from your hand and then immediately target it in the discard pile. Anytime you can play that card, it’s usually your best play. Have fun and we’ll see you next time.

Thank you so much for the tips on Ghost Spider! I really appreciate it, and clearly need them lol I know I probably over prioritize George and the bracelets. My biggest issue with Gwen is her economy, and my thinking is always that those will fix that for me. Especially George. But you’re saying Web of Life and Destiny is the real fixer 🤔. I’ll definitely keep that in mind and try playing the allies over the signature upgrades if I draw WoLaD early like I did here. I definitely wanted to be playing the allies as I’m a huge fan of all the web warrior stuff in the game so that won’t be a hard shift to make Thank you so much for taking the time to help me out! That really makes a lot of sense and now I wanna play Gwen again sooner than I would have ☺️

I’m calling it “Ticket to Ride” from now on haha! Good game. Two-handed is fun and allows some interesting shenanigans, but definitely increases mental load! Nice work as always Josh.

It's great to see you mix it up with two handed. Rhino w/ a Reavers seems fun. You should do "Encounters of the Week" with encounters+mods you think are fun/interesting/difficult.

Thanks! ☺️ Yep! Unfortunately you can’t use it to trigger things like Unflappable or Electrostatic Armor, but since it’s an interrupt it still triggers Ghost Spider’s Dizzying Reflexes. Good thing too, otherwise it would likely be completely useless in the card pool lol

@@idjester lol, I liked it! I don’t mind once in awhile but my first love is solo so I’ll still mostly stick to that. But I know there are a lot of people that want to see two handed, and occasionally there might be a deck idea I have that requires a little help 👍

Great game! My favorite character in the game!!! … and Colossus 😂. I’ve only used him twice and really need to try him more. Do you like him?

Thanks! I do now. It took me a few games to really get the hang of him. He’s one of those that’s really tricky in solo because you have to be able to get to alter ego pretty regularly. But if you can he’s so much fun. I love the engine of Organic Steel and Iron Will. It feels really powerful to keep getting all those toughs and drawing cards

@@marvelchampionsxp yeah it certainly helps. Thankfully, unlike Groot Valkyrie and War Machine they actually kept solo in mind and he has access to confuse, as well as his Armor Up. So Justice isn’t absolutely required to play solo. But it still works very well for sure

@@marvelchampionsxp no need for justice. He can flip in any aspect. Just use Professor X and 2 THW Allie’s to focus on keeping threat on main clear every other turn.

Sadly, Made of Rage requires your hero to exhaust, so unless you had a way to ready Colossus again you couldn't have played that second copy! Arrrgh! Good game though!

Ah, but you can! Made of Rage interrupts your basic attack. And you’re allowed to play multiple interrupts to the same trigger! It’s similar to playing multiple Skilled Strikes on the same attack

@@samvisser9408 yes, discarding a Tough is part of the cost of Made of Rage so you would have to have one for each copy. Thankfully with an Organic Steel in play, the moment you discard a Tough it’s response triggers and you can replace it with one from Organic Steel

Ha yeah, I saw a few places I could’ve played better. I think the combination of very early morning + two handed + playing quickly is going to require more grace from my viewers than even usual 😆😆
