This one gives me a bit of the vibes from the *Scuttling the U-529* mission in *Medal of Honor: Allied Assault* and *A Storm in the Port* mission from *Medal of Honor: Frontline* ...
That's not even the worst part. A lot of the guards there are Fallschirmjagers; you can tell by the helmets and the Italian stick-mag vests. So, not only are they not guarded by Kriegsmarine troops. They're guarded, at least in part, by Luftwaffe troops.
@@ChandranPrema123 yes it did. There's literally a mission where you sneak onto a German warship and sabotage it, killing a fuckload of Kriegsmarine personnel along the way in the process.
@@razgriz9146That’s United Offensive, the warship in COD 1 is either a cruiser or a battleship, wtf does a submarine have to do with those Edit: I realized you were talking about the presence of the Kriegsmarine, not the U-boat itself, my bad
I think they really remove the swastika when they sell WW2 games in Germany, to be in accordance with german law. Since there isn't that restriction anywhere else, they can keep that historical detail accurate, at least.
God Novak's probably has one of the most gruesome death in cod history Imagine getting your brains pulped and mashed with freaking chair while the rest of your squad watches you get mutilated in horror.
For some reason, Freisinger's brutal killing of Novak reminds me of, though not the same, brutality from Dead Snow movie, including the part where a character got dragged to the window by Nazi zombies which one of them gouged his eyes and ripped his head with bare hands which I found it is excruciating and more brutal than this.
The main antagonist seem cool at first, imtimidating and beat our man to death with a chair. Yet he didn't do shit the rest of the game and leave to his stupid interrogator who the team make fun of all the time. And then he just pull a "you cant kill me, your gorverment need me" as if that gonna do anything with a bloodthirsty commandos who just have there friends killed by you. The hold project Phoenix is nothing, no threat whatsoever.
They are removed don’t get confused. It’s the same thing that they did on CoD: WWII. They only place it front and center for dramatic effect. They don’t put it on uniforms or small boxes or anywhere in the multiplayer. Instead they put the iron cross. They only put large Swaztikas in your face for shock value and nothing more. They don’t even try to be historical in any context.
Since Vanguard was cruel enough to KO their silent protagonist who I personally thought was going to be the MC and with no bio I decided to create one based on my experience as Novak: Statečný Světec callsign Novak is a British SOE agent who was personally recruited by Carver Butcher to participate as part of the “Elite” Vanguard SF team. Born in the city of Český Krumlov in the early 1920s he distinguished himself as a expert on survival and ability to adapt on his own. He would distinguish himself against the Nazi occupation by being an expert safecracker and the ability to seemingly disappear and be mistaken as a German officer with no real idea on how he does it. At one point, during operation Black Hole, Novak would be slashed at the throat and as a result lose the ability to speak and instead communicates using hand and facial gestures. He is also a capable marksman and has been successful at counter sniping to a degree. Note to CO: He is a weapons master as well as a hand to hand specialist, don’t hesitate to give him the biggest gun you got.
It's sad that we didn't get to see Novak's backstory - his czechoslovak perspective of the war should not be forgotten for everyone in balkans and central europe during the war
Exactly! This game meant to have fucking 10 campaigns! Well, we are all a bit guilty for it turning out how it turned. Seasons 1 and 3 didn't even add any content at all.
Задник слишком часто повторяется, в Metro Exodu задний фон при движении поезда был намного разнообразнее и не так часто повторялся.... А тут прям чувствуется халтура!
I've never seen a game that makes such a mockery of its users, and it wasn't worth the money! I didn't know if I was being forced to play a boring game or watch a boring movie until the end
I might be wrong, but something tells me that the protagonist of this mission, Novak "the Safecracker", is never mentioned outside of this mission. He isn't ever mentioned by Arthur later, who narrates through every protagonists' story (despite Richard Webb isn't playable, his story is narrated alongside with Arthur's). That's... disappointing at least.
made just to die, no one importain in this campaign die at the end. Remember when Gaz was excecuted along with most of SAS , or Roach and Ghost were burned or Soap bleed to death ? They are all importain character yet die tragicly. Here i saw Richard death long before it happen because he is a sidechick
@@jagermeister6265, it saddens, but yeah. I'd love to see more "Commandos" approach, where all the characters are working together and are interacting with each other, mixing their abilities to make devastating results. In Vanguard, it's shown only in the final mission.
@@Mr_Shtoporenko here’s a bright idea, how about scraping the hold “Vanguard” things and make 4 separate campaigns like Battlefield war stories, stretch out the story and character, make more mission and add gameplay innovation . It would be way better
Since Novak got the shaft when it came to character development (as in he basically got none), I propose that we give them our OWN custom backstory, much like Bell back in Cold War's campaign. Anyways, here's my take: Ritcher "Novak" Amah was a British SOE agent known for many things when he fought in fascist Italy: His impressive versatility with virtually all weaponry, his enormous enemy kill counts and amounts of spectacular destruction, a strange tendency to take continuous hits in battle, even from explosive sharpnel, and somehow only needs a moments rest to continue fighting at full strength, and the fact that he never speaks a word, aside from the occasional grunt in combat. Some say that he never talks due to a krout or Italian red shirt getting a lucky swipe at his throat, some say it's because he's just not much of a talker, others still say that he doesn't talk for the sake of it. To make up for his lack of vocal speech, Novak communicates primarily in hand signals and sign language, much to the dismay of his superiors. Other than that, he mostly lets his squad mates do the talking for him. What makes him special among the other members of Vanguard is his versatility: give him any gun of any caliber, and of any condition; heck, you could even send on a mission without a weapon at all, and he'll find a way to curb-stomp anyone or any*thing* that gets in his way, and maybe have some fun doing it. Just be sure to keep him away from dinning room chairs though, he seems to have a weakness against those.
