All the way from East Baltimore🙌🏾… Mr. Henry, my wife and I want to thank you for your channel! You have literally saved my families lives. A few weeks back, someone attempted to break into our home.. I was working at the time, but my wife managed to grab the Tiberius T9.1 with the .68 Z-ram steel projectiles.. She fired 4 rounds at him, striking him TWICE.. The responding officer told us, one of the rounds broke the burglar’s hand..The other round caused severe damage to his upper sternum area.. Mind you, he was wearing a thick ass Carhartt work coat!! Mr. Henry, words can’t express how much I appreciate you dude!!…I had been searching years prior for less than lethal guns .. You see, I’m disqualified from owning firearms, due to nonviolent felony convictions from DECADES ago… Back then, I was young, and addicted to cocaine..smmfh 🤦🏽‍♂️😔.. Fast-forward today, I’m completely clean, I have a well paying trade, and my wife and I own a modest sized home with our children. My city is dangerous, but unfortunately, I’m not in the position to uproot… 🤷🏽‍♂️…Welp, we’ve since added the burglar bars in the basement .. I pray that helps, but in case it doesn’t, we have a back up!! Thanks to you!!!God Bless you and your fam!!! Peace.✌🏾💯💪🏾

I really appreciate you sharing this with me. There has been quite a bit of drama and less lethal as of late, and this comment reminded me of why I do it! I'm extremely glad that your wife was able to defend your household! Now if I can just get mine to even pick one up, I can rest a little easier when I'm not home lol! Congratulations on your turnaround and your clean time! I'm in a similar situation as an ex-felon. I've got 20 years clean! I was grateful to find an effective less lethal option and I am blessed to be able to help so many people like yourself! Stay safe brother and God bless!

Yo bro, somebody suggested I interview you about the break-in on my RU-vid channel. Really sounds like a great idea to me! Are you up for it?
@maxhauler
@maxhauler 2 года назад
I keep an FSC handy and really well prepped to fire quickly (using a minor mod I devised) and I keep my muscle memory good and all that. Every once in a while I take it out and empty the mag and the CO2 and then lube it and re-prep it with 6 in the mag and 1 in the breech like I do. All ready to go again when needed. Every single time it works perfectly. 40+ Joules. Every time I refresh it like this I am always impressed by not only the reliability, but also the power. It is real stopping power. I use Grimburg ammo (8 gram very hard riot balls.) It is real self-defense and I prefer to use something Less Lethal. I live in a high crime area but thankfully not for much longer, but still no matter where you are you have to be prepared for anything. I'm really happy that Less Lethal self defense worked well for you in that situation. Sounds like you have good equipment but even more importantly, it sounds like you have prepared it well for its purpose and kept it at the ready and in a reliable state. I think it is also important to practice with your self defense tools. Muscle memory is very important. Take care.

@@maxhauler I'd love to hear more about your mod to pierce co2 quicker!
@maxhauler
@maxhauler 2 года назад
@@psi.defence.channel for sure. It's two little mods. 1. is a flat cylindrical piece of foam that fits snugly underneath the CO2 twist/puncture tab. This keeps it from rattling and specifically keeps it from rattling and unscrewing away from the CO2 so it stays snug and with the minimum of twist needed to puncture, at the ready. (Plus I hate rattly things in most cases.) 2. At this time, I like to keep the mag feed spring latched down, with spring pressure off of the ammo. This really is not needed for hard riot ball type of ammo, but would be very important for any soft ammo like pepperballs (which I cannot use/possess in CA) or paintballs of course or maybe even rubber riot balls. Softer balls will deform over time from the spring pressure of course. Anyhow, I choose to keep it this way for now, but I am not against just locking it in place. SOoooooo .. I have a mod using Velcro, which positions the mag 3/8 inch out and thus does not release the balls. It firmly holds the mag in this position and has a tearaway tab. It takes 200 milliseconds to rip the tab off and slam the mag in which is little more than just moving your hand to twist the CO2 tab anyhow. It might be a great mod for people using softer balls like the Pepperballs. (I'm a nerd. I like to tinker.) I can send you some images if you give he your email and I SWEAR I am trying to get videos out. I have a new YT channel and even a new domain name for air-powered projectile stuff .. just no time so far to start making new vids. Anyhow, the little piece of foam under the twist tab is great use for a little piece of foam in my opinion. Really helps keep things in place better and I do not find it hampers activation speed at all. In fact, I think you have the tab more reliably in a position for faster CO2 activation in this manner. The foam is higher density foam. The cylinder should be just slightly bigger than the cylindrical hole it will fit into under the tab (approx 1 inch diameter). The foam cylinder should be about 3/8 inch tall. In the center it should have about a 1/4 inch diameter hole. It needs a slice from outside to inside to be able to slide it in place. That's it!

I think that is the perfect compact FSC self defense EDC build. I can't think of anything that could be better. I like the idea of using the TCP barrel for shortness and the more reliable metal detents. That laser/light is very nice. The all black is also probably the best color for pure defense use since the goal is to intimidate into retreat and also not reveal the less-lethal nature. Now I have to seriously consider doing my first all back build at some point and I would do it just like this. Same internal mods. Same tuning. It's perfect!

Awesome stuff. I’m just learning about these "non-lethal" pistols for self-defense. I’m looking at the Byrna SD-XL. But it looks like these First Strikes are way more popular. For someone new, do you think I should go w/ the Byrna or the First Strike?

@@TheMindofRobert the Byrna is severely under powered. Only 10-12 joules. It's concealable and looks pretty cool, but very ineffective. I saw police video with a guy charging a cops with a knife. They shot him about six times in the chest with a byrna which had no effect on him. He proceeded to stab one of the officers several times before they shot him dead. I don't recommend it for self-defense of any kind.

@blackpowderpapa Год назад
@@psi.defence.channel I own several non-lethals including an FSC from Grimberg which is a great self-defense weapon. My everyday carry is the byrna and I feel very secure with it. If you're talking about power with kinetics absolutely it's underpowered, I carry it with the pepper balls most days and it is very effective as I have tested it on myself and a few friends who were brave enough to stand in front of it. I actually like your videos and I will be subscribing but as a non-lethal creator myself I would never tell anyone absolutely, do not use something based just on kinetic energy. Seems to me you're also judging it on the HD version Not the SD version but I've had luck with both, neither one of mine have ever failed me and I put well over 3000 rounds through the HD. I just purchased the SD probably 6 months ago so I'm only up to about 350 rounds so far It has performed flawlessly. Great video and love the build!

Confronted a man who snuck into my wife's clinic at 1 AM. He wouldn't leave until he saw my wife brought someone with her. The guy found himself with a red laser on his chest and a Taser pointed at him. Having a less lethal device helped descalate the situation regardless of method of delivery.
@maxhauler
@maxhauler 2 года назад
I lean towards giving the Less Lethal device a high intimidation factor and maximum power. The large .68 cal barrel of an FSC/etc. is a small cave the perp gets to look into and wonder about which is a nice start, but I also really like a good laser. I like the O-light Lasers and for something bigger the Sight Mark laser or laser+light. Can't go wrong with either company for that stuff. I think a light can be good too but I think that laser dot is not only an outstanding way to aim but also a wonderfully effective form of communication. But one thing to remember is that there ARE crazy, drunk, high and very aggressive people out there who will respond to a confrontation, even with a weapon or device pointed at them, they will respond by attacking or producing their own weapon, potentially a firearm. This is why I don't play games with the Less Lethal devices. I turn the power way up and I hope not have to get medieval but I am prepared to aim it where i need to. There really are some crazies out there. (The SF Bay Area as more the a fair share, I think.) The criminals have weapons people. What do you have?

Contemplating the FCS compact using a combo of pepper balls and riot balls, any concerns about balls slicing? Especially when the pepper balls are chambered and it’s sliced during self protection usage… I almost ordered the Compact several times, and read about the slicing from owners and hobbyist. I like the size and the design of this launcher, the TIPX is a distance second choice due to size and the overall size. But the trigger pull to puncture co2 is a great feature

And this is the Sling Bag. Good bag. I've used mine quite a bit. I have a lot of FSCs and actually bought 4 of these bags because these fit it perfectly and have a good set of pockets for other stuff. Not too big. Not too small for the FSC. Quickly accessible rear/hidden compartment. Good spots for pepper spray your second FSC mag. AND not too think. Most bags have some issue like too thick or too narrow or too expensive etc. These are pretty durable. Great value for the price IMO: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B096XPBKCW/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1

I've tried a few shoulder holsters. The FSC is too big and heavy with sharp edges for this carry option, IMO. Maybe an expensive shoulder harness might work out, but it would be a gamble. Try the UTG shoulder harness if you really want to. Do NOT try they Cytac harness - garbage. In fact, the Cytac FSC holster fits it nicely BUT any mounting option sticks WAY out and droops the largish SFC. (Cytac .. hey make your stuff low profile and makea decent shoulder harness .. sheesh.) UTG stuff is great value though. If you must try a shoulder harness that one is good value/design but I don't think you will like having the FSC under your arm. Period.
