COMPLETE RU-vid Studio on a BUDGET - My NEW Budget RU-vid Studio Gear, Lighting, Audio & MORE
What do you need for a RU-vid Studio? A lot goes into creating RU-vid videos, in this video I cover my progress from when I started until today, I recently did a full makeover of my studio and reveal my New RU-vid Studio, on a budget! I wanted to improve the space and make it a multifunctional youtube studio for photography, video, b-roll, filming, product reviews, prints, photo and video editing and more.
I share what lights I use, some great budget RGB LED Tube Lights (not $700 ones like some RU-vidrs promote), how to get good audio on a budget, and a piece of gear for your camera that is REALLY underrated for making your videos go to the NEXT LEVEL - stay tuned for that.
✅ SUBSCRIBE for more videos on RU-vid and Photography Gear and Landscape Photography Vlogs.

Looks good and creates a nice mood and ambience! Normally I don't like clear or glaring bulbs but these are needed in the dark room and are not distracting. My favorite is the light in the corner behind your head that adds the depth and separation between the dark chair and the wall. Subtle but very effective. The black tee shirt works well too, And good choice of shelves that won't get too dusty! I do think the studio setting is important for the viewer and there are a lot out there that are kind of annoying!

Nice work! So much more balanced. Impressed that you went so far as to paint the walls, and I think it's a great colour choice. Actually I dream of painting mine a similar colour (I'd go very slightly darker for mine), but Jade wouldn't be up for that, since it's still also our spare bedroom and she already thinks the photos I have up make it look too dark. But I'm always squeezed into the corner with the shelves 'cause I don't want to show the light-coloured walls. The good thing with those lights is that you can also play around with different colours from video to video if you want to. I'm definitely a fan of warm lighting like you have in this set up, but that cool/warm contrast can also be really effective. You've given yourself the flexibility of being able to use either through your choice of lights. Great job, and the video itself was up to your usual quality. Jealous of all those affiliate links. I kept having to reapply with Amazon, 'cause I never made any sales when I was trying that. Strangely the most I've made from any affiliate sales is the coffee one, and I wasn't even particularly complimentary in the review! You should consider Adobe affiliation too - would be great on any lightroom tutorials. Anyway, I'll end by returning to my praise of the setup and video. Very nice.

Thanks a lot Adam, yeah it did take some negotiation to convince her I had to paint the wall 😂 Appreciate the kind words mate, small steps after time make a lot of change so let’s see what it’ll be like in 2023! I like how you film, different angles and set ups, always keeping it fresh. Thanks again for the motivation and inspiration to improve 👍

Thanks for the video, Rauri. I have always wondered about how creators set up their studios. I think that it would be beneficial for my channel to have a studio instead of what I normally do which is just sitting in front of a window or glass door. Quite a bit of the information I hadn't heard of before. This has been very helpful.

Hi Rauri, thanks for sharing. Personally I think RU-vid studios are a bit overrated by us. I personally don't care much anymore about somebody's background. Audio quality and content are more important to me in combination with creator's personality. Mist filter could be handy, still not decided about it
@RauriBarron
@RauriBarron 2 года назад
Thanks for sharing Paul. I see it as, I spend a lot of time in this one small room so I want to make it as functional, easy to use and comfortable as I can 😊 it makes for easier set up of lights and audio, where before I had to position lights on the floor 😂 Well I hope you enjoyed the content about light and audio then

@@RauriBarron yeah the speed of set up and/or access is what matters for me. I have one varipole I have mounted ceiling to ceiling and 1 very sturdy tripod, one overhead desk/workstation. My issue is that by day I am a project manager, by night I do photography and the occasional RU-vid video. Therefore speed of set up and breakdown are key as I am working just like you in a 3x3m room. For lights I use the falcon eyes RX818. Expensive but small and extremely versatile
@RauriBarron

@huwalban
@huwalban 2 года назад
@@RauriBarron Yeah, I work from home too in these post Covid times. I have a daughter of 23 (birthday today actually) and my son is 19. House prices here in England are daft, especially for young people trying to get onto the property ladder. I could imagine my two living at home for quite some time (which is fine my me). We converted our integral garage into a study space, which I share with my wife. What I wouldn't give for a small box room to convert into my man-cave :)
@RauriBarron
@RauriBarron 2 года назад
@@huwalban yeah house prices here have shot up at least 20-30% in recent years. Makes it really difficult. I’m glad I made the jump as soon as I could. I did international study (university) when I was 17 then didn’t look back so had a few years to get into the market. I’m sure when they move out you’ll have an epic man cave haha.

Lol builds an entire studio and buys thousands of dollars worth of camera gear and gets 300-400 views per video. Why not improve your skills on a cheaper dslr and make the studio a little less flashy and then maybe if you make a little money with your RU-vid hobby use that money for gear
@RauriBarron
@RauriBarron 2 года назад
Why the hate mate? I get more views on my videos which I make in studio, and have made money from this, on multiple projects with different revenue streams, online and offline. I’ve had my cameras for years and did not spend thousands on this, did you watch the video? This is my office/studio which I work in daily, in my own home which I own… of course I am in my right to renovate this how I want. You just jealous you don’t have either a home or disposable income to buy cameras? No hate mate, I don’t need people like you watching my videos
