Because of this abuse in Hawaii, surfboards are no longer available at Costco. The supplier decided to sever their relationship with Costco because it was the supplier who had to absorb the loss caused by Costco customers. No more surfing trips for the cheapskates! Bravo venders to getting wise to Costco’s bullshit!

Any word on what they do with the returned electrics, like GoPro’s or drones or even laptops? Is there a used goods store they send the items to?

They go to local liquidation stores. I have often bought Costco items from these stores at 50% off (or more) and then bought that same item new from Costco and returned the liquidated item. Also I bought a printer at Costco about 15 years ago and basically returned it and got a newer model for free every couple years when it breaks or the technology has improved. Same with bikes. Same with cooking equipment. It’s amazing and absolutely worth being a member. Their policy around abuse of return policy is over 15k in returns a year.

Not true, our whirlpool that never worked, we had to get repairs 5 times before we had owned it a year and it immediately broke after each repair. The machine flooded our house…twice. Each time we got a repair we had to wait for a week or more in between, which was really fun during the stomach flu.

EXCEPT, Costco wont take my big TV back. they give a 2 year warranty, + a 3 year extended warranty. but just after the 1st year, theres a large vertical black stripe, just sleft of center, about a foot wide. they say call Samsung, who sends out 3rd party techs, who say the screens been damaged. so they wont cover it under warranty, & want more than the initial purchase price of $2800, to replace the screen. and then costco says, well, sorry we Cant do anything to help. 5 years of coverage my butt. Nothing hit the screen at all. yet costco wont help. this is b.s..

Any shop you can return whatever you like if you know how. I often just buy the identical item which I have broken at home from any shop that still sells it, then return the old broken one with the new reciept. Also tip if you buy anything on Amazon delivered from China and it takes about three weeks too come, tell them the item is crap and in all cases I've done this they have given me a full refund and told me to keep the item. my way of getting free shit and stopping China from taken over the world.

I have this HP laptop that I want to return to Costco but it has a 90-days policy and it has passed that. The laptop would keep freezing, I called the warranty but the issue is still there. I had to call back and forth asking if I can return it and it is quite troubling me. Is there any way I can return this? Thank you!
