Video suggestion: Compare Costcos in different countries, like the different credit cards they take or any product differences

I appreciate all your help and information! I have a few questions and hoping maybe it’ll spark some more videos topics for you. 1- if you upgrade your membership will the 2% start then or will it retroactively go to any previous purchases and apply the 2%? Hope that makes sense 2- I have 3 Costco’s in my area and I’ve noticed differences in inventory and so question is how can I know which location carries which items? Is it purely the old fashion way of having to go physically there to see? Or should I go to the biggest Costco because they’ll have all those items from the smaller ones plus extra items not found at the smaller ones? Or is that not true and the big one could still not have inventory that a smaller location could have? Hope that makes sense too. Just trying to be efficient and not run to 3 different locations just to look for certain items. 3- is it true that if I have the executive membership and say I don’t get the check to cover the full cost of the membership, can I go to guest services and tell them that my check isn’t enough to cover the full cost and that they’ll cover the rest with another check or credit or something like that? I’ve seen another RU-vidr who was a former employee say that and I’m wondering if that’s still true or if there is a caveat? Thanks again for your videos and I truly look forward to them to get all the tips and tricks and information. Plus it’s so helpful for those who have never worked retail or customer service to see what really goes on and why some companies do what they do and the reasoning behind it. Having a background in retail and/or customer service really makes a difference and I have that and remember that at the end of the day the workers just do as they are told and as the Bible says, to treat them as you would want to be treated.

More info on the 2% check and execute membership will definitely be on s future video! These are great questions! To answer the question about items in different locations I would suggest to call the warehouse ahead of time and ask about the specific item if you know what it is. Some warehouses don't sell a specific product very well so they stop carrying it all together, which really sucks when it makes us have to travel to different locations. To save time, call ahead to time and press 1 for administrative office instead of membership; It'll be easier to get ahold of someone in the office to help you find an item, they can also tell you which other warehouses may or may not have items.

Costco is closed today/Labor Day, otherwise I’d just call them to ask: I bought a chair online and received it about 1 week ago. That same chair is now $200 off with Labor Day promotion. Can I get a price adjustment (in my store or online) and without having to physically return the chair back? Thanks for your help.

This is a really good question. If the coupon is at Costco.com you can call them and they'll do the refund over the phone. Or you can login to the website, scroll all the way to the bottom, click on customer service, and there should be a tab that says Price Adjustment. There you can submit your request for the refund. Hope that helps! (The 30 days starts from the day you received your item)

@@CostcoDude Thanks for the super advice. I only found out about this as I followed the "furniture" link in an e-mail to me this morning. Imagine my surprise to find the same chair that was delivered to me last week, but with a $200 discount! So I did as you instructed...on the Costco app I submitted a request for a price adjustment. I hope they don't pull any funny business expecting me to return the chair and buy it again.

🙌 Yeah! Get that money back! Hopefully it wasn't too complicated to submit the info. I know the Costco website can be a little tricky to navigate (They're getting better)

The problem is that it may not be worth your time. I have waited in line at the service desk for as much as 20 minutes and then had my transaction interrupted by the service person needing to get more information or help another service person. It is not worth a half hour or more to save a few dollars. And if they turn you down, it is really a waste of time.

Depending on how much money you'd get back and how long you'd have to wait in line you are right, it wouldn't be worth it. I wouldn't wait 20 minutes for a $2 coupon. But sometimes there's enough items that would get me around $50 or more back, electronics or furniture and other big items have bigger coupons that I definitely would wait half an hour to get that money back :)
