George Kittle wore that shirt as tribute to Gary Plummer who wore that shirt in the NFCCG against the Cowboys in 94, and was showing it off to the fans because us 49ers fans know our team and give him props for paying homage, THATS ALL IT WAS. Kittle showing respect to one of the past greats, and then including the fans in that.

I love my Cowboys, but I think 8 years of a body of work is enough to show that Dak is not the guy to take us to a Super Bowl. Take the hit next year and then release Prescott. It makes much more sense to make the team stronger across the board with a mid level QB. It gives you a chance to develop your QB. At worst, you're going to get the same result that you're in now. At best, you can win a couple games in the playoffs, maybe even a Super Bowl appearance. Notice I said appearance.

But this is an interesting matchup, because of the way the Eagles are built. They have a very big team. The Niners want to be the bullies, and are able to push around Dallas -- we've seen it so many times. Philly is hard to bully. They have a bigger offensive line than the Niners. They have a bigger defensive line than the Niners. The Eagles simply don't lose in the trenches. So the last time that these teams faced each other, the Niners couldn't even get through one drive without getting their quarterback injured. They actually got two quarterbacks hurt. And it was the same offensive line essentially as the one they have now. So this is a tough matchup for the 49ers"

what happens if you go over the salary cap? does anything happen? i havent heard of anything happening to a team or owner about it. also im a cowboys fan and im thinking tony romo could do better with the teams daks had these past few years.

If a team goes over the salary cap, the NFL can cancel the contract or contracts that put them over the cap. The team would also be fined up to $5 million per violation and potentially lose draft picks.

Man look i'm a cowboy's fan and I don't understand all the purdy hate... The dude is undefeated, no interceptions.... He looked so calm from play to play and seems to make all the right choices... How is he not a superstar? What cause he can't throw the ball seventy yards downfield? Because you can't run a 4.3 forty?.. You want a quarterback who can stay calm under pressure? Make good decisions and win games. Hes been doing that...

In 1995, the 49ers spanked Dallas in the regular season 38-20. Dallas went on to beat the 49ers in the NFC Championship game and also win the Super Bowl that year. There were non believers back then too.

The 49ers lost to the Eagles in their last Superbowl winning year 1994 during the regular season 40 to 8. I'm a 49ers fan but I recognize this 42 to 10 win was just one game and the Cowboys COULD get their ish together and make a run.

It seems to me that teams don’t value smart QB’s with crazy work ethic over physically talented ones. The list is long with QB’s who are “physically talented” QB’s that never pan out. It should be “you can’t get this guy out of the film room. He doesn’t have a huge arm or isn’t that mobile, but he knows where and when to throw the ball.” When I watched Purdy this Sunday, it was all about ball placement and reading the defense properly, presnap! And when teams invest a 1st or 2nd rd pick on a QB, there’s this “we HAVE to keep him for at least 4 years because of both financial investment AND not wanting to look wrong.” Look at a guy like Minshew or Heineke. Pretty good QB’s when they’re allowed to play. Teammates love them. But, we drafted this guy or that guy so take a back seat fellas. Ridder better than Heineke? Nah…Richardson better than Minshew? Don’t think so… It’s almost a popularity contest until someone isn’t deemed popular anymore.

This is such a silly take. Purdy has the best roster in the NFL by far. An elite TE, Oline, 2 great receivers, and a MVP caliber RB. Heinecke is 30 and has a comp % and rating comparable to Ritter who's barely started. Minshew started 2 games for Philly last year and lost both. Both guys are not good QB and are much older. Why give guys a chance that have proven to be average when you can at least try to see what the young guys have.
