Brandon and Thereswolf are too talented of artists to stop making music (especially the commissioned ones) even without Death Battle/Rooster Teeth. Please don’t stop your talents!

Some that I've got to point out is while the title says Tidal Wave, in the art it shows Mirage (Unicron Trilogy), which was Tidal Wave's rebuilt body in Energon.

Transformers VS Azur Lane is most definitely a pairing I didn't expect. But I'm not complaining, both franchises have great OSTs and Brandon's shown multiple times that he can make them work. Also I love military vehicle-themed matchups so another naval warfare song is perfect in my books. Honestly with this one I really didn't know what to expect given that the dynamic for such a fight could go pretty much anywhere. I mean, it's a giant robot that's massive even by Transformers standards and that can turn into an aircraft carrier against an anime girl that also is an aircraft carrier somehow. But the result ended up being really appreciable. It perfectly captures that "giant naval battle" feel with a great mix of more powerful and intense fighting segments punctuated by much slower and tense break segments. I'll be repeating quite a bit of what I said with The Depths Call Back with this given they sensibly have the same qualities but still I must note the qualities this track has. As said above I really like how it had a well done dynamic of shifting between slower break segments and much more intense and active ones. It makes it feel as if most of the fight is a back and forth as both carriers send out attack runs on one another in the hopes of sinking the other and with each run the two ships are getting closer and closer to one another before the ending where they engage in actual physical fight. In fact, let's see that mostly chronologically. The start of the song has an expect quick intro that's very calm before almost directly opening into an extremely intense and powerful segment as you'd get the first engagement between both carriers' planes (or, well, Decepticons VS planes in this case) as a sort of "intro battle" to act as a setup as to why both carriers are battling. This then quickly shifts back into a much calmer segment as you'd get the two sides preparing another attack run on the other, but still punctuated by the guitar to remind that this is still a battle even if no action is happening at the moment. Then, after this, we get the first true engagement of the battle at 1:02 as we get a full active segment where we can feel the full scale of the battle as it's punctuated with powerful percussions to represent gunfire and a smooth and flowing main melody for the second half of the segment to get across how the battle would, for now, mostly be waged in the air. This then breaks once again at 1:27 as we return into a "preparation" segment but this time with notably more powerful percussions and guitar to get across how both carriers are getting closer and closer to one another, almost in range to engage in direct fight. But before they can get in range we get another engagement from their planes/Decepticons, this time even more intense than the first one as we get a full solo to punctuate it and get across how spectacular the battle between the two air forces would be. After this segment we get another quick break at 2:45 but this time it's extremely short as both carriers are pretty much in range of one another and so their wings manage to meet very quickly at 2:52, reengaging in a final air battle that's lost the intensity that the last one had given that their air units are now extremely damaged so they can't give out as large an air battle. And as the air battle fades out in the background at 3:29 we can hear the faint sounds of a transformation as Tidal Wave shifts to its regular form and both him and Enterprise fully enter range and engage into a direct battle between one another for a final clash where they each deliver their all out attacks to try and sink the other, ending the battle at 3:57 in a tragic-sounding piano motif that oversees a burning wreck of a sinking titan/ship (depending on who wins) slowly plunging into the sea. This whole dynamic the song has of having multiple short "engagement" segments that each get closer as the song goes on to end in a climactic finish is extremely appreciable. And of course both of Therewolf's solos add a ton of matter to the song, allowing it to be even better than it would otherwise be (and given the rest of the song is already extremely good, that's saying quite a bit). I also didn't mention it but I quite like the two main melodies the song has (IE: 2:52-3:03/3:04-3:28), the first one of the two is particularly appreciable because the way it's made almost makes it sound like an actual siren/alarm which I don't think I need to explain how it fits for naval battle (which is even more appreciable that a similar melody comes back at 3:44 for the climax to once again act as "alarms" when both ships would be fighting directly as they'd start receiving damage, triggering various alarms onboard). And the second one's fluidity and melodic feeling perfectly get across how most of this battle would actually be fought in the air by the two carriers' air forces instead of themselves, it makes the song feel "flowing" and, well, "aerial" with a very smooth and constant melody like planes flying through the air. They're the perfect choices for main melodies for such a matchup as they allow everything that encapsulates it to shine through in a really nice way. Overall this track is one that I was very curious about when I first saw the matchup because, despite the fact that I absolutely despise gacha games, the concept of Azur Lane is one that I always thought interesting (just wish that the anime girls were actual ships instead of, y'know, anime girls with ship parts on them) because WW1/WW2-style naval warfare is something that I find very interesting as a whole (well, the romanticized version of it at least. I'll fully admit that actual naval warfare isn't my cup of tea) and of course Transformers is something that I really like even if I'm not an active fan of it. So seeing the two combined was bound to give out a really unique song. And in the end it absolutely didn't disappoint. The song ends up being unique, very story-driven for the better and being extremely catchy, partly because of Therewolf Media's wonderful solos that are most definitely of impressive quality. I can't tell exactly if it fits in character as I don't even know if Azur Lane characters get a personality in the game and I know Tidal Wave only from his design (which looks cool as hell) but I can sure as hell say that, as a naval battle song between two aircraft carriers, it absolutely does fit and that's all I need to qualify it as a great song. Amazing job to both artists with this as always.

Hello all, commissioner here, wanted to thank brandon and therewolf for this awsome track, and @theASTARart for the amazing art Wanted to first offer an apology, as when I first filled out the form, the tidal wave armada game track was included as the reference, then i filled it out again and put in the mix and therewolf addition, but added what i think was the transformers 2 deceptcon theme, with a note i think i forgot to add, to only use it if you need it, and still use the tidal wave theme, so sadly that theme did not get used, as i totally forgot about that and didn't get in touch with brandon till the last commission opening happened, then it hit me, and the song was pretty much done by then, so my bad yall As for why the match up, I wanted a match up for tidal wave, and I happen to start listening to the Azur Lane ost, and as someone who grew up with Battle 360, with the actual USS enterprise as its main character, I had a soft spot for the Grey Ghost, and I thought it was appropriate to put her Azur Lane counterpart against Tidal Wave, and even more appropriate, she is in David Vs Goliath matchup against Tidal Wave, just like her real world counterpart, having to hold off the might of a Empire by herself till she could be relieved Once again thanks to Brandon, Therewolf and Anthony for making the track awsome, and @TheASTARart for the art!

Haven’t heard of Tidal Wave in ages! Last time I knew about him was from the PS2 game; his transformation scene and battle was daunting as hell.

Tidal Wave, one of the Decepticons that left an impact on me as a kid. Awesome to see him get a track, and against Enterprise of all characters. It's a pretty cool matchup!

My first thought when I saw the kantai vs azure lane track was "ok but what if all of them fought Tidal wave?" So this is a huge positive surprise.

Transformers vs Azur Lane was the LAST thing I expected to see. However it has Enterprise my favorite warship growing up and my first shipgirl oath so some small bonus points. However I will not forgive the commissioner for clearly wanting to kill said wifey with how big a missmatch anything Transformers typically is!

Death Battle: Galactic Tyrants (From RoosterTeeth Series) [Darth Sidious VS Frieza] (Star Wars VS Dragon Ball)

I couldn't possibly begin to properly deduce who would actually win (though I'd still be rooting for Tidal Wave all the way), but I am imagining some pretty fun moments that could happen in a fight with these two; The fight could begin with Enterprise on a collision course with Tidal Wave in his battleship mode, leading to her engaging in her battle mode as her and her fleet of planes charge into a ship v ship-girl battle. Maybe Tidal Wave could split off into his smaller ships for a surround strategy only for Enterprise to hold her own, leading to the ships chanting in unison "Tidal Wave... Tidal Wave... TIDAL WAVE!" before combining to form the big guy, all the while Enterprise is riding her plane fleet or across the waves created from Tidal Wave's sheer size. Speaking of, that'd also make me think of this fight's animation potential. I guess you could make things easy and cohesive by having it all in 3D, but a part of me is kinda curious of the possibility of a mix of the two styles; having Enterprise and a few other effects and objects be sprites, while having the big vehicles and most prominently Tidal Wave be in 3D. Further selling the contrast in the two and how utterly massive one is by comparison. An oceanic David vs Goliath indeed.

I hoping all of a sudden Brandon decides to drop a track like Childhood Crafters (DanTDM vs. Stampy.) I don't why, but I'm expecting that, so this is day 1.

So, can anyone do a dissection on who of these two might win? I don't know much about power levels in Transformers aside from Megatron and Optimus going to galactic levels of strenght. Much less Azur Lane since it didn't particularly interest me at all. Anyone can give a quick rundown on how this fight would go? And where each other's power caps? Thanks!
