!Please help with advice! I'm not very versed in this topic, will a programmer's degree help in 3D/CG? I want to get into 3d modeling, but I don’t know if it makes sense to finish graduate as a programmer? (now on the 2nd course out of 4th in university, + study takes a lot of time and effort)

Programming wouldn’t help with art or modeling. Depends on what you want to do. Plenty of work out there for programmers. Making it as an artist is difficult and there aren’t as many jobs but you wouldn’t need any degrees at all really

@@artofjhill Maybe I just explained it wrong, cause I don't know English so well I didn't mean programming skills, I mean only that fact that I have an bachelor's degree. I've seen a few articles that say you need a university degree to work as a 3D artist. So will the mere fact of having a university degree help? (Sorry for my English btw)

@@artofjhill What about career growth, is it possible to get higher positions without an degree? For example: junior 3d artist ➡️ middle 3d artist ➡️ senior 3d artist ➡️❔ ... Here is over of career grow? Or will there be anything else?
