Terrie Ann Dauphinais, a young Metis woman, is found dead in her home. Her three children are discovered locked inside two bedrooms and a closet. Her death was deemed a homicide, but no charges were ever laid, and the case went cold.
Then, nearly two decades later, new developments in the investigation led to a dramatic turn of events, but would it be enough to prove the case beyond a reasonable doubt?

The man is guilty. I don’t respectfully disagree with the judge. She has made a travesty of Justice I won’t say what I really think, it’s not nice

Nah he never confessed. Even when trying to impress Mister Big, the death sounded like an accident. I wonder if they did a tox screen on her. I heard on a podcast about this case that she had 0 ligature or strangulation marks on her neck. Who knows, maybe she had a heart murmur she didn't know about, and decided to experiment with cocaine one time and died, and he walked in and freaked out. Or maybe she just had a stroke. My mom had a stroke at 37 and was otherwise totally healthy. This whole coercive method was very poorly done in this case if he is guilty. What did they even offer him? To me it sounds like he didn't cause her death. But then again maybe he put a rag with Cloral Hydrate over her face and suffocated her with a pillow. Guess we'll never know. I'd say maybe 50/50 at best he killed her. Strange, sad case.

It's a way to point guilt away from the ones who are killing our Woman and girl's. They love to blame the boyfriend. The serial killers responsible are free to continue doing what they do.

I'll say this, these judges are complicit in all the mmiwgm cases. It's happening here because they have partial immunity. Meaning the punishment never fits the crime and most times the killer walks in no time. They should be held indefinitely because they pose a threat to any community they live in or pass through. They do it because its highly unlikely they'll ever be caught. If they are caught it's thanks to someone coming forward with information. Judges should be lobbying for proper sentencing that fit the crime AND keeps violent offenders behind bars for life where they belong. But they obviously feel comfortable with letting these people walk..

It kills ppl like you to admit that justice exists for all parties the plaintiffs/victims and the defendants/accused ⚖️ the law is the law, you don't have to like it. If you want it changed, then lobby. You and your opinion on this case are: IRRELEVANT m

Terri’s father seems to have a deep bond with ken. I find it odd they took in a young man who was headed down the wrong track. (Only because they had so many young women in the house)I wish there was more information about that. Terribly sad for her children to grow up without their mommy.

The one good thing about this case was all the work that went into it after years of the family thinking the cops weren't doing anything but it's weird that the cops can't tell the public what evidence they collected since there will never be a trial

Well they don't want a divorce and need to pay child and spousal support the women are just for breeding and maybe changing diapers cooking sex etc. Then the guy gets tired of them so they get rid of them. Some try to act like the victim themselves and some are stupid enough to believe that.

Not under duress or coercion. He sounded like he was getting scared the cops would be mad if he didn't say something. I get a feeling he's innocent. This was such a flimsy case. Very poor police work. And likely the autopsy was botched. There's a Podcast on this case that really makes him sound innocent.

@@adilrahman1204 Never heard about the sex charge. If he is guilty then it's the cops' fault. You can't do Mr big stings if the suspect isn't criminally inclined for one. This was bound to happen given Canada's success and reputation for using this sting many times over in recent times. It seems they could have gotten a more explicit confession before laying such a serious charge. So many ppl involved and just a few dropped the ball in the end... Overconfidence in mr big stings likely played a role in them playing fast and lose, and ultimately rolling the dice with what they did have. At least now everyone knows the truth and the perp can stop pretending as was his wish. He probably didn't expect it would make him a pariah, however. If you do actually shove someone so hard that they go funny, call 911 you selfish POS

Locks can be picked other people can have master keys etc. Even a window can be left open but the cop said that looked "staged". Three or women are murdered in Canada every week by current or former intimate partners though some can plot better than others I guess. Sometimes it's a crime of passion or revenge sometimes if they think a divorce is imminent and they don't want to pay child or spousal support than money is the motive. Domestic abuse is not a rare thing but talking to some cops or lawyers who are ignorant you would think it was.
