When 27-year-old Caitlin Potts disappears from the North Okanagan in February 2016, police are puzzled. Although her body has never been found, Mounties believe she has been murdered. And then, over the next year and a half, four other women disappear too.
One of the women’s bodies is found on the Sagmoen family farm and many start to point the finger at Curtis Sagmoen. But although he has spent time in jail for other offences, he’s never been charged with murder.
In this episode of Crime Beat, reporter Jules Knox investigates whether these cases could somehow be connected?

Sooo, if the third woman, Deanna, was said to have gone for a hike, but was possibly a danger to herself, how long I wonder, would it take a tracker dog to find her? I mean, if she’d robbed a bank, they’d have searched for her, no? 🤔

We need our own private investigators to look at these tragic stories. And investigators who actually care about finding the truth and justice. Our court system needs a complete overhaul.
