In 1995, terror descends upon the Bible belt community of Abbotsford, BC. An attack on two teenage girls leaves one dead and starts a 7-month siege of torment. The killer hides, phoning and taunting both police and community with details of his horrific crimes. Behind the voice is Terry Driver, a devote husband and father with a terrifying double life. Misty was very brave hitting the attacker with the bat. She tried to help her friend. I was very touched that she named her daughter after Tanya.

i went to school with both of them . Tanya n Misty,very sweet girls.The town was so worried about their kids,they offered free bus n cab rides home if it was late at night. Misty was in my english class when it happened. I went to Abbotsford high in BC

I watch (a lot) of these crime stories. I must say these are very well done. Telling the story without repeating the same thing over and over, no overly dramatic music or narrators that sound like they're auditioning for Hamlet. Thanks for posting Bad Day HQ. I've subscribed!

I do admire the police for being transparent and taking the audio evidence public. Best for parents to protect kids. And one good mother to do the right thing.

I was working for Radio Max. On Feb 17th 1996, I moved the Max Van (parked beside the News car) to a remote client 1/2 a block away, went upstairs to check with Mike, the producer, and then left the parking lot to go to another branch of the client's for the remote. Mike received the phone call 5 minutes after I left. I was turned back upon reacing the Langly branch, and arrived back at the Abbotsford station to a multitude of RCMP. Abbotsford Printing was my client. I had seen Terry Driver at the press and in Hub Sports several times as I am an angler. Never forget that day or that time living in Abbotsford working for 85 Radio Max.

With 85 cops investigating, i would've suggested after the call of him threatening another victim, to have undercovers at every ppayphone in the city.
