During a time when immigration to Sweden was growing, feelings of racism were also on the rise. On August 2, 1991, one man began to act by shooting young immigrants on the streets of Stockholm. His weapon of choice, a laser guided rifle, would earn him the nickname "The Laser Man".

And then, he switched over to a .38 revolver. If he really didn't want to kill anyone, why did he switch to a larger bullet. I think he's been hunting small antelopes in South Africa, and cannot understand why his bullets are not penetrating human skulls. Humans have big heads and thick skulls.

On one of his journeys, in Februar 1992 the laserman murdered a 68 year old lady, survivor of the Holocaust, in Frankfurt, Germany. He was sentenced in 2018 for the crime.

well the silencer wasnt alined properly hence the damaged bullets and is also most likely why they survived the shots, the only one he killed was with the rifle.

The reason they could link him to the bank robberies was genius. The idea was that you visit the pawnbroker when you need money and go there again when you have money. All the robberies were committed an hour or so before he went to the pawnbroker to collect his things.

I love the intro for these videos. I think the color of an immigrant's skin had much to do with their acceptance in this man's world, such self hatred caused the death and damage to so many innocent people. To be caught robbing a bank like that probably won't ever happen again, but it couldn't happen to a nicer guy. Catching a criminal like this is difficult, but they did a brilliant job.

I don't think I've ever seen the murder weapon fished out of the ocean like that. The odds had to be one in a billion. It's good to have immigrants come into your country in an orderly fashion but not in a big wave. Immigrants bring new ideas and new outlooks on life. It's not mentioned much about his personal life. He really liked it in the army. Perhaps too much. Was obsessed with rules and giving orders. Drove everyone crazy. Even argued with his senior officers. Until he was kicked out. "A danger to himself and others" was the motivation.

Gellert Tamas book about him is one of the best books ever. It portrays his childhood and how he was abused. One passage where his mother hits him in the face after the neighbours kids stole his candy and he cried and turned to her for consolation all ways gets to me. Add some autism and you get an ice cold man waiting to release his anger into the world. The political situation with a new right wing party also gave him mandate. His favourite movies were "Holocaust" and "Death wish" one of which he rented 18 times!

He definitely doesn't know firearms. He tried to silence a .38 revolver and he used a suppressor made for a .22 cal rifle. The guy was supposed to be a big game hunter too. The weapons he used had been purchased in S Africa. I wonder if he tried hunting big game with that .22 as well lol

Obviously you know far less than you think. A 22 can indeed kill quite easily. There are serial killers who made it their gun of choice. You're actually quite clueless. "don't know how guns work' oh the irony.

Well, believe it or not, 22 cal is the arm of choice. Fact: more deaths result from a 22 cal than any other weapon. I'm not talking about autos or semi autos. I have a 22 cal, 8 shot revolver. It'll get the job done. Not everyone needs a bazooka.

A .22 will tumble around in the brain or body & damage numerous organs, structures, and vessels. While a 357 will inflict a bigger wound, a .22 can be equally as dangerous. Many people have been murdered with a .22 gun.
