happened to my mom when i was a kid, she kept a ticket in her car and shed go exchange it for her new ticket when she went to buy gas lol. sometimes shed get lucky and win like $5, so shed let us pick out a $5 ticket for her to try (they had cooler designs, and my mom always let us play with the tickets if she didnt win anything lol)

@@somedude172 I don't mind the tickets that have a little game to them, like the bingo ones or the scrabble ones because they have something generally kind of fun about them, even if it's meaningless, so it's like "Eh, I spend £3 to see which words I could clear on this thing, that's fair enough." I also don't buy them often though.

I watched this happen IRL, I had a roommate who some may call a “crack enjoyer”. He sprung on a lottery ticket at the grocery store like a block from our house and won $500. He was also incredibly religious, and took it as a sign. I’m sure it was 100% his addiction though. So he won the $500 and immediately went back to the store and put it all into more lottery tickets, and won maybe like $400. All I know is I don’t believe he ever made it north of 500 again. He must’ve went back to the store like 10 times to reup on tickets. I’m begging him to stop and just keep what he has almost the entire time but he refuses. It did eventually end when he finally got so low he couldn’t afford even a one dollar ticket

Realistically? It’s not. You can not live off 2 mill in this economy for that long. Using my moms bills rounded up for examples (minus rent) Rent 1875 Groceries 500 that lasts two weeks (family of five) Electric 450 Internet 250 Phone 350 Car 200 Insurance 70 Health insurance 250 That’s like 3745. Every month or so. That 2 mill would not last long if my mom used it to get a house (200 000 or higher since 5 rooms) and a new car or repaired her current old car that’s in need of a lot of work.
