This would be awesome for my 12 valve! Unfortunately, I do not have cruise control so I am stuck trying to figure this out on my own. I was thinking about possibly using a pneumatic or linear actuator to act as a throttle control...
Thank you! You could pick up a used cruise control servo off ebay, I believe I seen one for sale that included the pigtail for $40 not to long ago. I don't think my truck came with cruise control either, but it does now!
Hey! Sorry I haven't been on the forums much in the past months. I dug through some old boxes and was able to find the boards and components to make one,, I'll try and set you up a board this evening. as for shipping, ordering it through this podunk website would make it simplest. cumminsworks.dudaone.com/store The main point in doing it that way is it automates the shipping side of things so I don't key anything in wrong. Fun fact, I don't drink, so don't worry about that. (:
I likely won't be selling these, at least not in the near future. With the cost of them, and the time it takes for each one I'd have to charge an arm and a leg, and then you have so much complexity that can go wrong, with limited R&D, so if something does go wrong, I'd have to worry about warranties and such. I can however see supplying a couple of these to select people that understand the chance of failure, and would be willing to tweek, tune and make programming changes as needed. Another option is the V2.2 unit, it's very basic in operation, you can read about it here. www.cumminsforum.com/forum/94-98-non-powertrain/1916057-cruise-control-high-idle-how.html If you're interested in this option, let me know and I'll send you a board. Take care!
