@@KyleSpoor I have been wondering what the game Forza Horizon 5 feels like with CSL DD Compared to something like Assetto Corsa.. Of course ASC is more realistic. But how "good" is Forza if you turn on simulator settings!
I’ve actually tried playing forza and I’ve been having issues. The game crashes and the CSL DD is not really supported at the moment. They’ve said they will be fixing it in the future but for right now it’s actually better to use a Logitech g29 then the CSL DD

Thanks mate. I’m waiting for mine, unfortunately it’s been a month since it shipped and Australia post deemed it lost in transit. Now waiting on Fanatec to take action. How unlucky. I just sold my G29 and can’t wait enough to get my hands on this to keep playing iracing 😃😔

Hey mate!! So mine was stuck on the same tracking notification for like 6-8 weeks. I spoke with Fanatec and they told me it wasn’t declared lost by auspost so I had to just wait and see. Auspost finally found it so I had to go and collect it from a depot. I picked it up around 12 weeks after the “estimated delivery day” hahah

Great video man, I am considering buying one of these and was looking for a feedback from someone upgrading from a base level wheel or just starting. Other reviews are good but seem to throw a bit of doubt because they are used to using high end wheel bases with mega torque. Your video gave a really good indication of what to expect, so thanks heaps

Nice man, just to add to my comment I actually had a go on a G923 (I think) that was at a retail shop. My thoughts were it was pretty mechanical, not smooth but the feedback strength was reasonable. Got home and apparently it is only 2nm so 8nm on the CSL DD will be plenty. Thanks again bro
Im back on the racing sim youtube train and you really make me want to spend £600 on full setup from fanatec (DD, Load cell, McLaren wheel) when u compare it to G29 and how that wheel DOES nothing to let you know you are about to spin out. Its one of the reasons G29 been sitting in my cupboard for over a year now and I never properly got into sim racing. But to be blown away I want to take this a bit further and get Meta Quest 3 for full immersion. With entry of Moza into the sim market Fanatec been dropping prices of CSL DD so we might even get amazing VR racing experience for under £1000 which is less than my PC but still buttload of money for many. Do you still enjoy your CSL DD a year later ?

@@KyleSpoor bought a G29 with shifter and stand 2 months ago. Fell in love with iRacing and realized the forces aren’t as realistic as I would like. Your video tipped it over for me. I saw 10+ videos prior but your reaction sold me lol. Def going with 8nm and looking to get the mclaren wheel with another 320mm circle wheel. Considering a rigid cockpit under 300$, any recommendations? That would not flex. Thanks for replying btw, good quality content! Also considering the $340 paddles that fanatec has vs the originals ones for the more realistic feel

I use a lot of Trak Racer product and we’re lucky enough to have a discount code with them ( gamedept5 ) at least that will get you a discount if you like a rig from them! Drifting videos, racing videos to see how it handles different types of terrain in gran turismo in particular. Would be awesome to see comparison videos of this compared to a t300/logitech wheels back to back would be awesome!
I have just got an email from Fanatec saying my csl dd order has got to the warehouse but it says that the cls dd is not in stock until January 3rd so i am confused. Will i get my csl dd in a few days or January 3rd?
Hey dude! I’m not 100% how they run things but mine was actually sent out about 3 weeks before the date on the website, so you may see it earlier then you think!
i got that too. I emailed fanatec and asked them and they said they had system problem and thats why you got email from fanatec saying it would be shipped soon.

I just got mine (8nm) with the CSL BMW (cheapest one with the plastic QR) a couple of days ago. I get this clunking/clicking when using 100% FFB strength set in Fanalabs. This is my first Fanatec and DD product, so I have no prior experience. I got the clunking to an acceptable level by turning down the FFB strength to 50%, but at that point I'm wondering why did I spend the money and upgrade from my 4nm belt drive. IS THIS NORMAL and have you or know anybody that has this issue? Thanks.
Hey Kenny! Have you made sure all your drivers are updated and that your wheel rim firmware is up to date? If so I think this is something you should message fanatec about. I’ve never had any clunking with mine and I use it on 100% FFB. I would definitely suggest checking that everything’s up to date first though cause that may eliminate your issue 😄
