Almost 11 years later and this still hits the feels. Truly, this forever will be one of the greatest times of Canadian moments 🇨🇦😢

22 years and this is not only still the best olympics but probably one of the best times in all of Canadian history.

and so ended possibly the greatest two weeks in Canadian history.

You had to be in Vancouver and Canada to experience for yourself. Once in a lifetime experience that no Canadian will ever forget.

The Vancouver Olympics were the Greatest Ever and not just because we won 14 Gold and 26 medals it was truly the first time we united as a nation

Our athletes literally had an entire nation rooting for them.

I get so nostalgic about Vancouver 2010 :(

12 years later and still a dagger in my heart when Bryan says; “Believe it me, it not without some sadness, I say for the last time, good night from Vancouver” May we repeat this feeling as Vancouver plans a bid for 2030 Winter Games ☺️

Makes me tear up every time

after partying in Toronto at Yonge/Dundas square, my girlfriend and I went to the subway and were waiting for the train. While waiting on the platform, the crowds on both sides of the tracks started belting out "O Canada" and continued singing it while boarding the trains. As we boarded, the passengers already seated joined in. I was in awe. Not many things bring a tear to my eyes but that moment did. So proud to be Canadian

I went to the 2010 Olympics it was one of the most amazing experience of my life. After attending I honestly wish I was Canadian. The pride for their country is amazing. I will never forget walking to a hockey game and the Canadian one had just got out and they had beat no one but the town of Vancouver had literally erupted. It was a seen I can't even explain but it made me want to be a Canadian so badly. The hospitality the Canadians showed was absolutely fabulous I had left my iPhone in a store in whistler by mistake and some kid turned it into the police it was amazing. There are so many others stories I can tell but I will never forget 2010. I plan to become a Canadian citizen one day as I have so much pride and love for the country.

THE 2010 OLYMPICS WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN

I remember being a ten year old kid who had never seen the olympics when this event started, and five and half years later I am still so happy that I got to witness every part of the olympics, and even more happy that I am Canadian. We may trash each other about hockey, we may argue about which part of Canada is the best until our throats are dry, but when it really matters we all come together to support our country. And I will never forget jumping up and screaming with joy with my dad when Iginla and Crosby got the Golden Goal. It's stuff like this that makes me proud to be Canadian.

I live in northern NY state, and my cable system carried CTV. This was one of my favorite Winter Olympics because of the CTV coverage. It kicked NBC's behind. Your Brian Williams is better than ours.

Even in 2017, this still makes me choke up. Anyone not in Canada in 2010 will never realize the impact these games had.

I travelled from Australia for these games after making a promise to return if they won the games, and what a games it was. The best ever in my opinion. Vancouver and Whistler did an incredible job and I think like the commentator said, it really did change the country. Canadians should be immensely proud of 2010 and I still get tears watching this vid! Sid scoring the OT winner for the gold was the greatest sporting moment I’ve witnessed, doubt their will be anything like it again.

I basically lived on Granville street during these 2 weeks. Staying out till 3-5 AM and then go home and get maybe 4 hours of sleep and then and do it all over again the next night. The atmosphere that the city had become, I had never seen before in my time living here in Vancouver. I was 20 years old back then. It was the best time of my life. Watching the Gold Medal game between Canada and the US in mens hockey at Library Square and then pouring out onto Georgia street and bursting into singing O Canada. I will never forget these special 2 weeks ever.

Nearly 10 years later and I still get goosebumps while watching this video.

these olympics happened when i was 6, and it was the first time i felt pride for my country. i’m 16 now, watching to feel it again.

I will become oficially Canadian citizen on january 2011, but since I got to this amazing country I have felt proud to be here. I love Canada, my new nation...!!.

I'm actually watching this after our 2018 athletes made the Peyongchang Olympics our most successful ever. But the spirit of these games and happiness that it inspired in out country will never be matched. These games created some of the best moments of my life and memories that will stay with me for the rest of my life. Vancouver 2010 will never be forgotten.

I wish the people of Calgary had watched and listened to Brian Williams before the vote. I feel we needed this with the way the country is today☹️

Every time i watch this video, it makes me tear up... Sochi was good and all but NOTHING beats Vancouver!!! I still remember the crowd cheering when Crosby scored the golden goal!! It was an amazing feeling!! the whole entire Country getting together!! Quebec City is also bidding for the 2026 Games... Lets hope we get that so we can get this feeling all over again!!

I was a little kid in whistler when the Olympics were taking place. God I wish I was older so I could have truly felt the impact of the sheer joy and unity it brought.

I remember being ten years old and the whole school stopping to watch the hockey games. The weeks before we did projects on the olympics and my teacher somehow knew someone who had ran with the torch. She brought it to our class and we all held it. It was amazing, makes me so proud to be Canadian.

I cannot believe these Olympics were almost 10 years ago. I feel like it was just last year when Crosby scored the Golden Goal. These Olympics truly were amazing. As a Canadian, I may be biased, but you've got to admit that the Sochi and Pyongchang didn't have the atmosphere that Vancouver had.

Well 10 years later my first year of college, I was 10 years old during Vancouver and it was the most magical time of my life huddled around family and friends glued to the tv. It is something I will never forget.

Brian Williams is a legend and I always loved to hear him speak even when I was little.. as he spoke from the heart with love to us as though we were his family and not like a robot

I love how these olympics changed Canada and brought us all together. My dad go to go and work for Bell during revolt ice and got to experience so many things and sadly missed my birthday that year, but all the stories he told when he came back. I get so must nostalgias from watching this video I still remember were I was when ever single medal was one the best was the mens hockey on a plane flying home from my make a wish trip when Crosby scored that entire plane cheered.

I don't know if anyone who isn't Canadian can quite grasp what impact these Olympics had, but I'll try to sum it. I'll fail, but I'll try. In order to understand this, you have to understand that I'm an historian. If you had asked me what Canada was before these games, I'd have told you about the CN Tower, about the Peace Arch, about the Library of Parliament, about the Maple Leafs, about the Liberals, Conservatives, New Democrats, Greens, and the Bloc. I'd have mentioned the Pacific Scandal, and the Great War. I'd have spoken of John MacDonald, and Pierre Trudeau, and Kim Campbell. I'd speak of hockey, of Timmy's and of poutine. I'd have pointed to our ten beautiful provences and our three shining territories, and then, having pointed these all out, these and all the other things I could think of, I would look at you and say, "This is Canada." Now, after Vancouver, when someone asks me what Canada is, I look at the people around me, smile, and tell them, very simply, "WE are Canada."

My favorite Olympic video, makes me proud to be Canadian. Whatever happened to Nikki Yanofsky? I thought she would become a big star after Vancouver but she kind of faded away not long after.

I like to listen to "i believe" and j'imagine when I go for a jog. It always gives me that extra push to keep going, both in that moment in and life. Watching highlights of those games still give me so much pride as a Canadian, soon to be 10 years later. Over that course, I've traveled all across the country in every province between Nova Scotia and BC, living in Québec, BC and Alberta. I look back and remember how it brought us together. These games always remind of so many great friendships I've made. It was a beautiful time to be a Canadian and I take this with me years later.

It's been months but I still cry when I think of us winning the Gold in the hockey game. It was such a beautiful time for Vancouver and this BEAUTIFUL country of ours Canada. Best 2 weeks EVER, nothing can EVER compare to the Olympics, the feeling, the emotion, the LOVE for my country and for my people, I loved it!

I can honestly say being in Vancouver for the games was one of the great thrills of my life. The energy that echoed throughout the city from not only Canadians, but every other nation that took part in the games, will probably be impossible to recreate, but it will never be forgotten.

I am privileged to have become a Canadian citizen and shall value it for the rest of my life. The Sochi Olympics were great but nothing compares to the Vancouver Olympics (my home city). This was easily the best time of my life. What a beautiful ending from Brian Williams and the "I Believe" song is even better in English and French. God Bless Canada, the true North, strong and free.

The history leading to this Olympic is also critical to understanding its relevance. In the history of the Olympics only one country that hosted an had failed to win a gold. That was Canada and we did it twice; 1976 Montreal and 1988 Calgary. We never had much to cheer about in any Olympic save perhaps the heavily boycotted 1984 Los Angeles Games. It was quite embarrassing. The “Own the Podium” program changed all that with improved and better directed funding. The addition of sports where we could excel and the addition of NHL players made the lead up to Vancouver 2010 very promising. The result exceeded expectations in all aspects. The organization, Yanofsky’s inspiring tune, the celebratory Olympic village, the record setting number of Golds capped off with the most coveted prize of double hockey gold medals. Such an incredible event.

After seeing the Vancouver 2010 winter games, brings a tear to my eyes. The Patriotic and the unity that brings all of Canada together when Canada won gold in the Olympic hockey tournament!

Watching everything from Alexander Bildeau earning the first Gold medal on home soil, right to Sidney's "Golden Goal". Along with the rest of my fellow Canadians I was cheering my heart out everystep of the way. Now remembering the olympics a year later still makes me tear up with sadness that is's over and tear up with joy that it has happened. That two weeks of Determination and Triumph in Vancouver will last a lifetime. I am proud to be Canadian.

well beyond that night Mr. Williams, well beyond that night. I think we can all agree, Vancouver 2010 was a 2 week moment in time, that no canadian will ever forget.

I was out of work at the time and maybe it was the best thing that's ever happeneed to me. The bond I forged with my 7 year old son during the Olympics can never be broken. I cry every time I hear this theme song.
