This is the eighteenth installment of my build of the CV-6. In this video I am adding the wooden deck and photo etch that goes on the flight deck. I start off with my thoughts on choosing either KA-models or Pontos flight deck and then adding the wooden deck, the photo etch and weathering the deck.
This will be the last installment for a while, taking an Easter holiday, but will be back in a couple of weeks with the Island Coning Tower build. Enjoy you holiday!
The build is based on the Trumpeter 03712 kit with detail up sets from Pontos and KA-models; trying to use the best of both sets.
