AXMINSTER CRAFT AC118CI CYCLONE INTERCEPTOR Review.
i recently decided to upgrade my dust extraction system to incorporate a cyclone interceptor capable of working with a 4 Inch/100mm chip extractor and ducting system. this is my thoughts on the system I purchased. if your thinking of doing the same I hope you find this review helpful.

Hi Frank, thankyou for the excellent video mate, I have the cartridge filter and you would be wise to get one, fine dust can easily get through the bag, first class video pal keep up the great work, louie

Hi Louie, I got a filter a couple of weeks after I made the video. I have this in about 2 years now and can't fault it. vertually no dust reaches the extractor as long as I remember to empty the collection bag when it gets full 😁

It looks like the bag is on the outside of the frame below the cyclone. How do you change the bag when it gets full? It appears you would need to remove the frame, which would likely cause the dust and chips to lift out with it, which could be messy. Am I missing something really obvious?

Hi Dave, there's a ring similar to a normal extractor inside the legs, you keep the bag on with a band clamp. Actually quite easy to change the bag.

Would be interested in the review of the axminster piping kit. Did you ever get round to making it ?

Hi Andy Yea I installed the piping kit, I'll see if I can get time to do a review this week. on the whole it's ok the bends don't fit very well, I had to tape them with duct tape to make them air tight. The Blast gates work well, but the slide blocks up very easily. the self cleaning blast gates are much better, but, have to be bought separately. I trimmed the end of mine with a grinder to allow them to act as self cleaning gates.

@@frankkane3904 Just setting up my workspace and looking for somthing to use so interested in your opionions on it. Looking forward to the review. Am I right in thinking it's 63mm not 100mm ?
