Complete gear and locker install! Today on Dirt Lifestyle, we will install a 5.38 ring and pinion into my Super Duty Dana 60. There are many ways to do this Job and in this video I will show you how I do it. We will be using a mix of professional grade tools as well as some cheaper alternatives. Installing gears and lockers doesn't require a college degree but a very clear understanding of the relationships between these parts is crucial. Do your research and compare the pros/cons of hiring a professional vs attempting to do this yourself. I'm not a pro and I wouldn't perform this install for customers due to the complexity of the job. Look at this video as a good starting point for your education on this subject but don't look at this as a set by step guide. A complete install guide is not my intention for this video.
