Today we are going to rank Danganronpa Trigger Happy Havoc characters based on how good they are as people. In other words, we are going to create a morality tier list.
While I agree Kyoko in THH would indeed be in the Gray Tier, I would put her higher up on the list. While she did questionable things at points, she also was the one actively trying to get everyone out of the school and trying to figure out what was going on, despite the fact her own memeories were in shambles even more than the rest of the cast. She also jumped down the garbage chute just to find Makoto and it is clear she didn't want to sacrifice him like that. I would put her above Leon still but behind Sakura.
I am late but I think she should be at the end of good we also have to take into account that Monokuma was going out of their own way to get rid of Kyoko and she also saved Makoto when he was about to punch Monokuma after the first trial.
Morality tier list is such a cool concept for a video. I think Sakura initially wanted to do the killing game but then she changed her mind. She overestimated her own ruthlessness because like you said, killing someone is not justified by saving the family business. Now I'm imagining that Sakura's family business employed 2 million people, like Wal-Mart. I can imagine her justifying one measly little murder to save the livelihoods of 2 million people. Think of all the personal unrest and chaos in the streets that would happen if 2 million people got laid off. It's possible more than 16 people would die. Would she be willing to get her hands dirty then? Would that be the right thing to do?
Also the only thing immoral about Byakuya is that he's a douchebag. Giving us a test in chapter 2 was totally fine. He didn't have to be such a dick about it, but he gave everyone a lot of information about their classmates. When you kill someone to get out of there, you're not JUST killing someone to get out. You're ALSO killing someone to prevent yourself from dying when someone ELSE gets out. Having a plan to save yourself in case of emergency isn't immoral. What happens if someone attacks you, and then dies when you're defending yourself? Do you *really* have a moral imperative to allow yourself to die instead of 14 other people?
Leon should be lower, ik you mentioned it but that's not a high gray morality character As for Sakura, it's implied he's destroying the dojo and harming the people in it (her family). A dojo can be rebuilt but her family can't come back and I'm sure she'd know this. Looking forward to the SDR2 tier list, that bad/evil category gonna be with more than 4 characters for sure
Honestly, as bad as Byakuya's actions were in Chapter 2, I feel like compared to some of the other characters it wasn't that bad. I mean, you obviously shouldn't do it in real life, but if someone told me, "Hey, dude, I'm totally a serial killer who kills people that turn me on! And I'm in a killing game! And turned on by you!" I wouldn't be too happy either. Yes, his actions were bad, and I'm not trying to say otherwise, but if he would've tried to prove Toko was the serial killer outside of the trial, she could've denied it. By being a suspect of a murder, Toko had to reveal Genocide Jack to defend herself. So yeah, I guess I can see why he would've done it, especially in a high-stakes scenario like a killing game. Compared to some of the other murder plots in the game, it just doesn't seem as evil? I don't know, maybe I've just become numb to these kinds of things from playing a game about murder for too long. Anyways, what I'm trying to say is I agree with your placement, and now you have a new subscriber!
I'd put Hifumi in evil, not only did he murder Taka for really stupid and self-righteous reasons, he had no issues with sacrificing everyone else so he could escape. Like, he didn't even seem to feel bad about it, what an absolute scumbag. I honestly struggle to find a single good thing to say about him, yet the game barely even acknowledges what a piece of shit he was.
The video is admittedly rushed because I'm trying to get a video out every week and didn't have one ready for this week. Usually I'd try to get clips from the games but I'm going to be using the tier list format for this mini series and a few other videos just to buy some time for other projects
I would put Sayaka higher (definitely before Leon) because: 1. She had a understandable motivation wich were her 4 best friends and band members who were like a family to Sayaka and helped her becoming an idol. She was terrified for their well being since she saw them unconscious in her video. 2. Sayaka wasn't aware of the class trials and execution rule since it was said after her death.
For me a premeditated kill is worse than killing out of fear in the moment. I don't remember chapter 1 too well but if the rules were said after her death then Leon didn't know as well until after he did the kill. In his head, he would also be killing without sacrificing any extra people. Same goes with Sayaka so I don't think either character has the advantage there.
Didn’t everyone have a motive like that, though? and no-one else went apeshit. Like, I get that they were “like a family,” but Naegi Makoto’s ACTUAL family was held hostage/implied possibly dead, and, like, HE didn’t go try to kill somebody!
I believe Mondo could be put lower cause killing Chihiro isn't all hes done, hes basically a criminal in his free time outside of school. Despair doesnt affect his actions that much.
Bro u did Aoi dirty, go back to chapter 4, she wasn't as bad as you made her out to be. Also like Byakuya was an asshole almost the whole killing game, Aoi slips up like once, after trying to be the voice of good the whole time and you punish her like that, come on💀
whats worse, trying to get “revenge” on people, even if that means some innocent people will die along with them, or just being a general asshole? i would maby put Aoi above Yasuhiro and Mondo but i think her placement overall is pretty accurate to THH

Gettin placed worse in comparison to the asshole who tempered with a dead body and almost doomed all of them for his own amusement, nah that doesn't sit right with me💀
@@nachtaron if my bestie did that and i would believe some 3 other friends being the cause of it, ofcourse i would try to seek out revenge…on THEM. If Aoi suceeded, Makoto (who has been very nice and actualy helped Sakura by keeping what he saw a secret) and Kyoko (who wasnt mean to Sakura) would also have died alongside everyone. They dont deserve to die because of Aoi’s actions. Would you yourself like to die just so some other person you met a little while ago can get their revenge? If you say yes, i would highly doubt it you would be willing to throw your life away like that yourself.
Trying to kill everyone including people that were innocent when it came to disrespecting Sakura is insane. Byakuya's test in chapter 2 is bad as well but I'd say trying to kill everyone is worse than giving everyone a test. However, Byakuya did state that he would try to kill someone so which character is worse is up for debate. I'm not 100% certain about the order within the gray tier yet
