DC is who a lot of ppl think Khabib is. He was a PHENOMENAL fighter and he just ran into the best ever. Make no mistake, DC is the king in any other era. If he fought in 2000 or 2035, there would be endless debates about who would've won between the two. That's how special DC is. DC alone makes Jones resume better than others

It's shitty, but there's something I like about how dirty Jon fights. On top of all his physical advantages and skill: dude is just fuckin mean lol. Gouging eyes, wrenching limbs like against Glover, breaking down dudes ACL's. It's kind of an insight into his mindset. I do think he's on the psychopathic side. In a violent sport, he manages to be effortlessly even more ruthless.

The key to beating Jon Jones is just a mentally strong fighter. I see his opponents and it's over before fight starts, you can see they don't have it (like Tyson said about fighers before fight). DC was closest to that. You need Francis Ngannou in there

He would be the greatest UFC fighter of all time no cap. Before people get mad, you have to understand Jon Jones entered the UFC ALREADY with sponsorships from Nike & Gatorade, no other fighter had that, along with MuscleTech and eventually Reebok pretty early onto his fights. The guy could have and would have been the Michael Jordan of UFC, especially with the beautiful storyline of being this super young fighter who crushed every big light heavyweight legend at the time and became the youngest champ in UFC history. But he fucked that all up. Is he a goat contender, sort of. If you asked him he would say hes the goat, but hes destroyed his reputation & those sponsors are long gone. We never saw Jones at full potential, just a matter of fact. He became a villain and he won't be remembered as fondly as he thinks, even tho hes truly one of the MMA goats from a technique standpoint. I still think Reyes beat him.

In regards to Strickland losing to him, the Philly shells glaring flaw is it cant defend a fast strong left hook (if your right handed), no style is the best, they all have strengths and weaknesses and it played right in Pereira’s strategy.

There is one video which will show you that left hook was set up for pretty much entirety of the fight. So its not even weakness of the style as much as it is that Alex tricked Strickland into thinking he will hit him with direct

In my opinion, it's more likely that John Jones is on something than not on something. What happens is our bodies ligaments are naturally attuned to certain weight limits that are defined by your genetic musculature and growth. But steroids can push this natural muscular and growth limit while your ligament weight limits will stay the same. That’s why you hear of so many bodybuilders having freak gym accidents of torn bicep tendons or leg tendons without massive trauma.
@Mr-E.
@Mr-E. 8 месяцев назад
Some steroids like testosterone also influence collagen synthesis and can create more brittleness for lack of a better word due to shifting between type I and II collagen. Also, steroids like winstrol are known for causing tendon and ligament tears due to a lack of estrogen.
