Bit taken from the extras of the DVD 'Danny Bhoy - Live at the Sydney Opera House' It was filmed on the 16th of June 2007 I haven't seen this on RU-vid at all, so I thought I'd throw it on. Enjoy!
as he says in one of his interviews, that both Australian and Canadian audiences have a nice balanced mixture of intelligence and know how, so we can relate and understand many of his jokes.
The description of the English upper-class' had me splitting my sides with belly laughs (of course it's completely non-pc now... but you can't fail to get it and laugh! Bloody hell Danny... keep 'em going mate!
This is awesome hahaha. Love Danny Bhoy, shame he's not bigger in the UK. I rarely hear about him over here apart from the occasional appearance on Live At The Apollo
Turns out there is a cat meowing on this video just after the 5 minute mark. I just spent the last 30 minutes trying to find a cat I thought had wondered into my house.
LMAO He is right about the brutal honesty thing I've been to a couple of standup shows recently where the audience has corrected the comic mid-show, even in a taping...
The joke about the right hand bowler was great. I thought it was odd when Danny did the action left handed but I didn't know why it looked strange. Now I know lol.
Sorry Danny Glen McGrath is a bully he resorts to bulling when he is losing. A brilliant piece of sliding was when west indian Sawan told him off after an homophobic slur
He's hilarious according to me, and many with me. If you dont like it, thats you, sucks to be you. But you dont necesarily need to publicly show your dislike to people who obviously enjoy it. Im a huge stand-up comedy afficionado and this is great. Its different, sure, but great. Hes no George Carlin or Robin Williams, but hes still darn good and is touring worldwide with his comedy shows, so atleast show some respect, will you?
Hilarious! Damn, nobody to talk about him to. I live south of Chicago now. My wife and kids are 100% American and just don’t get it or Billy C, Chewin the Fat, et al.
When I was there the only music I heard playing was from the 70's, Darryl Hall and John Oates constantly.....they live in the past musically so why not fashion too.
There are three Australian accents, Broad, General and Cultivated. Queenslanders and people living in rural areas have the Broad accent, while the majority of other Australians have the General accent. I'm in the minority since I have the Cultivated accent, because my parents believed in the proper and correct pronunciation of the English language. But even though I'm 8th generation Australian and I like our accent, when it gets really broad I kind of cringe when I listen to it.
+AUSSIEDAVEROCKS I agree with you there. Hearing the broad accent just annoys me for one reason or another... although, if you've heard the Melbourne accent, what would you consider that as? Because i'm not too sure which of the last two I have haha. I'm assuming general?
