This version is actually my favorite. I like the fact that your can hear the brass (or whatever they are) instruments in the background during chase. I always felt that was the creepiest and most “corrupted” part of his chase music
Just noticed that his 3rd theme at 2:00 has the same rhythm as his washing machine chase music. Pretty neat they incorporated the old theme while still making it sound almost completely different.
To make it easier just give the players an option to change the chase music like they did with legion but without the perks being the one to change it. Maybe some buttons somewhere on the screen to change the chase music while in the ghostface menu.
I really love the different layers to this theme, it’s very fitting for the character of a stalker. As he begins to quietly stalk his victims, their subconscious picks up on something, maybe they notice a strange man following them, but… no, must be their imagination, nonetheless, a lingering aura of dread fills the air. But then the danger becomes more apparent, there is definitely someone there, someone has been following you. You’ve even seen him sometimes, but every-time you get a closer look, he’s gone. Paranoia and fear fill your mind. Then all pretenses are dropped something is clearly wrong, HE’S HERE! Inside your home, at your workplace, in your dreams! Nowhere is safe, but… no-one believes you. Your hope is dying. Then there is no question. He’s right in front of you, a face is finally put to your nightmarish stalker, a dreadful white scream. His cloak rustles, his weapon gleams. This is it; the game is over. He’s not trying to hide anymore. You lost, and you need to run. NOW!
I knew it!! I was playing as ghostface when the update dropped and heard this slower version and thought it was bugged. I have mixed feelings about this one compared to the previous one considering it was sped up which felt fast paced and intense which I personally prefer. This is just mellowed out and in tune with his 32m and 16m which generally makes sense considering most killer chase themes follow that same formula Edit: Me clarifying that I prefer his previous chase theme than current
They all sound quite splendid, but I'll like a combination of all these options please! And just for good measure maybe use a cheese grater and also plenty of *HALF LIFE METAL CLANGING SOUND EFFECTS*
The first one I never minded too much tbh, the second variation felt more like a stepdance than a chase, but slowed down like this? THIS is a Ghost Face chase track! They nailed it finally
I disagree, and I didn't even like the second version for the longest time. It took a while for it to grow on me, but I've come to appreciate it for striking an effective balance between intensity and the personality of Ghostface. They should've left it as it was, honestly. This new one is a strange downgrade to me.
Right? At least there was some chaotic nature that felt like it belonged to Ghostface. With this slowed version, this literally could be put over Dredge’s chase music and no-one would be the wiser
0:00 I think he's chasing someone else 1:00 I think he's heading our way 2:00 GUYS COMMIT TO THE GEN 3:00 *Proceeds to get exposed in less than 5 seconds mid-chase and downed instantly*
I think this version is better than the fast paced chase music that we had. Even sounds scarier. It sounds weird and unfitting when you first hear it but once you get used to it, it sounds better. But that's just my opinion.
People, if you liked the old one so much, you should’ve spoke out more. The reason they changed it is because only the people who disliked it said anything. Now everyone complains that the old one was the best even though they never said anything until it was already changed.
the theme at 2:00 is what i wish the chase theme was, i like the impending violins and i miss it from the original pre live verson of the game, the one everyone claims sounds like a washing machine. I want that theme back, give us a choice dbd
I thought I was going crazy the first time I heard it. Thought it was some weird bug xd. Honestly, I prefer the version we had since 5.7.2. This isn't bad, but why did we need to slow down a pretty good chase theme? The 2nd variation of his music (technically 3rd if you count the PTB) was the best imo because of the intensity and severe feeling I get from it. Maybe pull a legion on him at this rate. It's been so divisive.
"It don't fit Ghostface though" Maybe not, but the faster pace felt scarier, and I like my chase music scary. The 1st version that ever came out was boring to me.
After getting used to jamming the sped up version of this, I thought it was a bug when they reworked it again. I was so disappointed to find out they changed it
A bunch of people were still very disapointed with his new chase theme. The problem being... I honestly have no idea. It's just bad. For some reason that we can't explain. I love all variations of his chase themes, they just can't, as always, please this comunity at all.
@@v1k20 for me personally, I didn’t like “fax machine” ghostface theme, I personally like this theme because it has a beat and it doesn’t make me go deaf, respectfully.
I like to think that his chase theme sounds like a washing machine because the Ghostface persona is the definition of a cycle of evil so this Ghostface embodies all the cycling of evil that made Ghostface what it was and is today. BUT THATS JUST A THEORY!
would fit the ghostface character, since almost anybody can be ghostface, similar to legion (actually now that i think about it Legion is just a dollar store Ghostface but gets sick mixtapes instead of phonecalls💀)
The music before the chase starts at the beginning sounds like BATMAN!! if they added him as a killer it just gives me batman vibes! Like dark knight batman vibes!
Honestly I loved all versions of his chase. Some were better then others but all were pretty scary. The beginning just sounds awesome to me. That ominous techno sounded awsome
The only part I like for this new theme is the 8m theme (2:00), the chase music isn't really entertaining to listen to like the old one, the one that people apparently hated so much cause it was a "washing machine" or whatever. Edit: So I came back, the chase music has grown on me. It still doesn't have as much energy as the original imo, but it's better than the previous that was really fast paced
I mean Legion is a spinoff and referenced from Ghostface. So ghostface decided that he too want to join the metal band but he didnt know as he didnt usually listened to it, so he decided to record a bunch of his working appliances and mix them up together to form this beat. I guess he got taught by Trickster on how to splice properly, so now he got his perfect beat
I still feel like this could work as the Chase theme for Ghostface when he gets out of Night Shroud. The Washing Machine Theme could work for the first seconds where you get exposed by Ghostface but if you manage to make him get out of night shroud by stunning him or him missing his attack then it becomes the Live Version of the chase
I wish they would just add some type of siren sound. It was a really cool feature. Maybe not as repetitive but something to add a little more chaos to the track
Bro people made ungrateful as hell first when they added the washing machine music people said it wack and they need to change it now they put in a new one now people are saying they miss washing machine like bro if people are gonna be ungrateful then don’t add any chase music at all or just give him the default chase music since people are ungrateful
I might be biased since i'm a Ghostie main, but I don't really see why people have a problem with this. Even if this GF is original, i think it matches Scream's aesthetic pretty well. The strings in the background match the strings used in the movies during suspenseful moments. That, and it matches GF's overall vibe. He's not a big hulking monster like a lot of other Slasher villains, he stalks his prey silently, learning their routines and ending them quickly and efficiently. He's a stalker that leaves little evidence behind. This music fits. It feels like you're being followed by someone just out of sight, and when that someone makes a move, you have to act fast and fight the panic in your mind.
Hello fellow Ghostface main. I feel like many people just have a problem with the chase theme because they either just think that it sounds like a train driving over a broken printer or because people STILL think that he released as a Scream DLC, despite the fact that they never announced it as any sort of Scream DLC but instead as Ghostface.
Of course they need to change for make it perfect Ghostface is one of the biggest horror icons ever, Anyway this variation is cool, is just the old one but slower?
I can understand the rationale behind changing it the first time: the sound was just horrible and grating, headache-inducing. But this? Did anyone think the 2nd version was also bad? I'm fine with either of the last two soundtracks, but why?
Not enough cohesion and honestly didn't suit his tactical minded thorough stalking style. This one as little as it changed feels way more threatening because it sounds cold and calculated compared to the hysterical sound of the last one
@@eternalblack3183 this is literally the same chase music as before, just slowed down in the closest phases. It doesn't really work with his animation's pacing.
@@franciscoaguilar2597 hence the "as little as it changed" in my comment. I myself think it fits better. The other chase music felt too chaotic simply because of the pace lol
@@eternalblack3183 Highly disagree with what's being said here. Ghostface *is* cold and calculated, yes, but he's *also* described in his lore as carrying out his crimes "with fury akin to a crime of passion", and he sprints after the survivors as he chases them in the game. The fast pace was not a problem. It was suitably thrilling. The moment of the kill-the chase-is the crescendo to the gradual build-up of the stalking. And if we consider it from the survivor's perspective, why shouldn't it sound hysterical? What else would you feel being chased by a knife-wielding murderer? There's nothing cold or calculated sounding about this version. It just feels sluggish and limp, and certainly less threatening than the previous version.
Sounds so clunky broooo I was an og ghostface and I love the washing machine and was so disappointed when they got rid of it this just is so meh. 1.25 speed just to make it interesting
