How bizarre , nostalgia for good Dr Who and for a blog about it. Episode was decent.

I mean the show is a family show first, as a father the line "what we leave behind is love" means the memories. The love you show your children (or don't) impacts their outlook on life, their future, how (and if) they raise their children - and heck ideally children should be a product of love. So yes, for the average person who doesn't make a cultural or scientific impact their love is what endures past death. Is it cheesy? Maybe - but the right kind of cheese (unlike space babies). I'd also argue Moffat was a lot stronger in his final two years than the middle ones. I think he struggled with fan reactions so his best work was before series 5 aired and then once he thought he was leaving (a year and a half before he actually did).
