I was very impressed about the combat in DA2, tons of nice cc combos and lots of damage, so I decided to continue this route in Inquisition. The result is pretty impressive I think. :) Picking Whirlwind was obvious, since the build is all about crowd damage. Whirlwind is faster and deals more damage when used by a Reaver, than it would with any other spec. This way the Reaver is not only great with single target damage(since you can still spam DR) but also annihilates crowds with the never ending combos.
This fight was so difficult for me as a melee rogue lmao died so many times. Even switch to ranged to keep distance and I killed myself more than once by leaping shot* off the edge of the arena 🤣🤣🤣
I loved this game’s action combat style. This one time. I was the last survivor on multiplayer on Dragon Boss Map. Everyone kept dying and leaving and new people would join and die over and over. Enemy npc get stronger with each death as well. I however kept fighting using guerrilla taunt tactics. And I finally reached the dragon. I slaughtered it 1vs1. Idk why I deleted it. Was a long time ago 👍
Didn’t even realise that Whirlwind will be THE essential skill for both in DA2 and DAI. I was kinda curious at first in DA2 that you pick up Whirlwind on Nightmare difficulty cuz I thought it’s probably crush your companions with it, especially with your own damage output. Correct me if I’m wrong but if we spec him accordingly, Dorian can simply be our solo mage for damage boost with Storm, Spirit skill trees combine with Horror and some of Winter’s passive abilities. Great work mate, looking forward to the Trilogy video 👍
Yup. It would. If FF is on, you would have to pick the other upgrade for Whirlwind and stay far ahead of the party. Of course your mages would still nuke your butt, since most mage spells deal FF. :) I don't like FF. I played with it, found it boring. There are only a select few skills that you can reliably use when FF is on(this severely limits any potential build variation as well). Personally, I don't like ignoring 65-70% of my skills(which are already limited compared to DAO or DA2) just to make sure I don't hurt my party. Especially when you try to perform cross-class combos. That goes double for my team. The AI is the worst here, since there is no tactics menu, so it makes perfect sense that they made FF optional. The gameplay turns into a boring, bland mess when your team is only allowed to use single-target skills/spells because they are better at getting you and themselves killed than getting rid of the enemies.
Hello good a question that I have a doubt. Teammates use all the techniques that have been unlocked? I mean, if I have unlocked with Varric 12 techniques, although I can only select 8 in your skill bar, I will use all 12 in full? or they have to be if or if in their menu of techniques that limits you to 8. I hope I have explained, thanks
Not sure what you mean. You, as the player character, are limited to 8 active skills. Your team can use every active skill you unlocked for them. If you want them to not use a skill, you must disable it in the tactics menu. If you want them to use it more often, you must favorite it. :)
