@@WhyArentYouVegan i had to witness the gutting of a deer a family member hunted at a young age, i know to treat animals with care and love, and if required, to be merciful and put an animal out of mercy however i do not hunt. And i make sure i never waste any meat and be greatful that it lived a good life and that i have it as an option. I'm not sure who "they" are in this context, but no one (in America at least) knew who Brand was before he was rich. Wind and solar power has never powered a city by itself, it is always aided by gas, nucleur, natural gas, hydroelectric, etc. Most who quote meats impact on climate change are quoting a vegan documentary that used activist research. Said research claimed that cow RESPIRATION contributed to climate change. It has been thoroughly debunked. Those stats also include truck/plane/train shipping for meat products, which would be present if all of our food was vegetables as well. There's also research that suggests landfills have more to do with methane production than cows do. Research is overwhelmingly against the theory that the meat industry significantly contributes to climate change when compared to larger contributors. I have been told by militant vegans "that's just the meat lobby" as if the fossil fuel lobby doesn't hold as much or more power. 🤦‍♂️
