Your MS1 tutorial was the only resource I had to learn how to program the Odyssey’s sequencer creatively; today I’ve literally been searching for hours on how to achieve the deep note sound, lo and behold you’ve made another crucial video to my benefit. Was pretty much sold on the DM12 before this now the nails in the coffin! Many many thanks!!!!
Sir, as I have stated many times, you are a genius. I love my DM12 - these patches have taken it to absolutely astonishing levels - the "Everything You Do Is A Baloon" and Bladerunner patch (obviously!) is stunning. Can't wait for your next set of masterpieces. Any chance of a DM12 patch deconstruction video if you have the time?
Ugh. Now I'm going to have to rearrange and sort all of my current presets to make room for some of these. I was perfectly happy not knowing what I was missing!
Between this and your Da Funk video, you've convinced me to commit and take the plunge for the DM12, thanks man. You have a fantastic ear and talent for programming!
Me as well, its pretty amazing. I got mine for 500 and some change. Just a few years ago, a comparable analog synth would have been multiple thousand dollars. I cant believe people tried to shit on this just because behringer made it
Great patch collection, ordered this and already received, thanks, will try them out soon... would be great if there was a patchlist with it in PDF ;-))
The DM12 effects processor, matrix and other features are integral to a lot of these sounds so it wouldn't work so well. I do love TAL products though.
Once I learn how to save a patch and then transfer patches, I'll come to the store.@@Digiphex I know it may seem silly but for us starters on hardware synths, but I can't find a good video explaining how to actually SAVE a simple patch and not overwrite stuff on the DM12. I just want to create a new blank BANK and save patches then add more BANKs with purchased patches/packages. I'm on a MAC with Logic and just downloaded Sysex Librarian (but I haven't the faintest clue how to use it.)
@@JoshRichmanDesign the deepmind has an editor. what you can do is duplicate an existing bank, and that gets stored on the computer. you can then transfer the sysex which will overwrite a bank. later you can use the editor to edit the banks to your heart's content.
I have Sylenth and hadn't really thought about it. I might try a few and see how they sound. It always sounded a bit brittle and trancey but they have had some updates recently.
Just bought these. Beautiful patches, although for some reason they sound different than they do in the video. do you know if there's a setting on the Deepmind that bypasses fader positions/settings when first loading up a patch? It sounds as though each patch is conforming to my current fader positions when loaded and I suspect that's why they sound a bit weird and unlike your demo. Cheers
Do your patches require any modifications once uploaded to the DeepMind? I'm playing with the A-13 ROYGBIV bass patch and the A-21 Flim lead patch and both sound really off. Though they sound great in the preview video.
@@hw9528 Thanks. Also you can look at my video where I make the BOC patch on the SH-101 and I show the patch chart with the settings written on it. It is not exactly the same thing on the DeepMind but it is in the ballpark, then you can tweak. The DeepMind sounds very Roland but not quite an SH-101 so some tweaking must occur to get the growl but it can be very convincing.
If you own a Behringer DeepMind 12 or 6 I re-created the original factory presets of a Juno-106 that you can load into it! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-kLCo1tTiVjc.html
Update your OS for the Deepmind first. Then get Sysex Librarian if you have Mac or Midi OX if you have windows and Deepmind is always listening for you to send patches so just send them in from your computer on the USB.
This is really for someone who wants an updated Juno-60 and to make those Roland style sounds with 12 dual oscillator voice, big strings, big brass, etc., though it will do an SH-101 type of sound. The 4 voice Analog Keys with its limited keyboard and voices is more for a DJ groovebox type of thing. Both are very fun in their own right and should be experienced though! DM12 you won't read the manual and AK you will set aside a weekend to read the manual.
I purchased these and am new to synthesis. When I transfer the patches via C6 or midi-ox does it have to be via midi or can I use the USB port on the back of the d12? Thanks
The System Exclusive (Sysex) message goes into the DeepMind through the USB cable. P. 29 of the manual gives some information but in general, if you are sending patches INTO the Deepmind, the synth itself is always listening and you don't need to use its menus to do that. Be sure and upgrade your OS first because that can affect it.
@@CROMAR31 This syx file will put all of these patches in Bank A automatically. It will overwrite all 128 patches originally located in Bank A. No worries, you can always restore any Bank with its factory patches via the BACKUP MENU right on the Deepmind itself. If you don't see these Digiphex patches in Bank A then probably the deepmind didn't receive the syx file correctly. My method: 1- Connect Deepmind to PC via USB 2- Start MIDI-OX → go to Options → MIDI Devices → make sure Deepmind is highlighted in the MIDI INPUT and MIDI OUTPUT boxes. → Click OK 3- Go to View → then click Syx →new window pops up to deal with syx 4- In this new Syx window → go to Command Window → Load file (find DigiphexBankA.syx) → click Open 5- Go back to Command Window → click on Send/Receive Sysex 6- Deepmind screen should show Receiving Syx message. Takes less than minute to finish. Done. Please correct me, if I'm wrong
With free software, SysEx Librarian if a Mac, MidiOX if Windows. (Edit as of 11/17/20 you can simply drag and drop with the DeepMind Editor software and then choose where everything goes.)
@@TooSlowTube Probably the easiest way now is to use the DeepMind Editor software and drag and drop. Then you can choose where to put each patch. But if you use SysEx Librarian, it will automatically overwrite Bank A.
@@Digiphex Thanks. All I've ever managed to do with the Behringer software is overwrite a patch I was trying to save, so I don't use it. I'll give some thought to reorganising patches to free up bank A.
