The tender pork belly covered in a creamy mushroom sauce , served with rice, polenta , creamy mashed potatoes or even on its own, will make a perfect lunch or dinner. Here are the ingredients and some steps to follow:
200 gr pork belly thinly sliced
1 onion finely sliced
400 gr closed cup mushrooms
200 gr heavy cream
200 ml warm water
Spices ( levelled teaspoon each):
pepper
paprika
garlic
mix herbs
garlic
salt
3-4 tablespoon soy sauce
2-3 tablespoon oil
50 ml white wine
* Season the meat with all the spices above and let marinate for at least 1 hour in the fridge
* fry the meat in the pan for about 10 min on med heat, stirring constantly, then add the wine and let the alcohol evaporate for 3-4 min
* take the meat out and let it rest
* in the same pan add the onion and let it soften for 5 min, then add the mushrooms and let it simmer on low medium heat for 7-8 min
* return the pork belly back to the pan, add 200 ml of water , cover and let it simmer for 10 min on low heat
* add the cream, mix and let it simmer for 4 min
