So I was fairly bored and while cleaning my room I found a Core 2 Quad Q6700 that I bought over a year ago on eBay with the intension of upgrading my Dell Optiplex 745. But since I built the Threadripper build I just stopped paying attention to this pc. Recently I have found my self using this PC more and so I decided to install it, and it made a huge difference.

Just upgraded mine to Q6700 on BIOS 2.6.4, huge improvement, also running Windows 10 and 8 GB ram with SSD. The system is good for light gaming, I was playing Rocket league, counterstike. In general a good Media Center.

I have a uniform and it didn't upgrade to Core 2 8400

I put a qx6800 in my 745 no difference cause the ram is stuck at 667

Your pc work fine? My pc dell optiplex 745 sff have intel q6600 but always shutdown after 10 minute pc is on..i now using intel core 2 duo e6600 it work fine..Can i upgrade intel q6700 like you?

Yes I am on bios update 2.6.6

Hello there, i have core 2 quad q6700, 2.66 GHz Graphic: Q35 RAM:6, I want to upgrade it so that i can run (GTA 4 or 5, Battlefield 4 or 5 or similar to these), do i only need to install graphic Card or other things too?

Add a graphics card with a minimum of 2gb of vram like a gt1030 and bring your total system memory to 8gb I kinda want to try it my self
